Answer:

D OPTION

Explanation:

coordinates (in meters) as functions of time(in seconds) are given by the equation

1 ) x(t) = 3.5 +2.7t⁴

differentiating on both sides

dx / dt = 2.7 x 4 t³

Again differentiating

d²x / dt² = 2.7x 4 x 3 t²

= 32.4 t²

d²x / dt²  is acceleration so this  acceleration depends upon time .

2 ) x(t) = 3.5 +2.7t³

dx/dt = 2.7 x 3 t²

again differentiating

d²x/dt² = 2.7 x 3 x 2 t

= 16.2 t

This acceleration also depends upon time

3 ) x(t) = 3.5 +2.7t²

dx / dt = 2.7 x 2 t

again differentiating

d²x / dt² = 2.7 x 2 = 5.4

This acceleration is independent of time so it is constant.

4 )

x(t) = 3.5 + 3.4t + 2.7t²

differentiating both sides

dx / dt = 3.4 + 2.7 t

again differentiating

d²x / dt² =  2.7

This acceleration also is constant .

so D OPTION is corect

Answer:

D. Only particle 3 and 4

Explanation:

The acceleration of the particle can be found out easily by taking the derivative of each function, twice.

So, when we try to find the second derivatives of all the function, we get to know that only particle 3 and 4 will have a constant value. All the other particles will still be a function of "t". Thus 'D' is the correct answer.

The second derivatives will be as follows:

Particle 1: a(t) = 16.2 t

Particle 2: a(t) = 16.2 t

Particle 3: a(t) = 5.4

Particle 4: a(t) = 5.4

Identify characteristics of energy from the Sun. Check all that apply.
-BARSIC- [3]

Almost all of the energy on Earth comes from the Sun

The energy in fossil fuels originally came from the Sun

Plants convert the energy

Explanation:

The sun is the ultimate source of energy on earth and even the whole of the solar system. The sun drives and powers all external processes on earth. It produces its energy from the nuclear fusion of lighter nuclei into heavier ones.

  • Almost all of the energy on earth comes from the sun. A few component of the energy on the surface comes from the internal heat engine.
  • The energy of fossil fuels originally came from the sun. This is because, plants stores the energy in the process of photosynthesis. When they die and the energy is not released, the energy is stored as fossil fuels.
  • Plants in the process of photosynthesis converts the energy. Here green plants combines carbon dioxide and water in the presence of sunlight.

As part of an exercise program, a woman walks south at a speed of 2.00 m/s for 60.0 minutes. She then turns around and walks nor
Anastaziya [24]

Answer:

Option A

Solution:

As per the question:

The distance covered by the woman in the North direction, d = 3000 m

Time taken to travel in North direction, t = 25.0 min = 1500 s

Velocity of woman in the south direction, v = 2.00 m/s

Time taken in the south direction, t' = 60.0 min = 3600 s

Now,

The distance covered in the south direction, d' = vt' = 2.00\times 3600 = 7200\ m

Now, the total displacement is given by:

D = d' - d = 7200 - 3000 = 4200 m in South

(a) Average velocity of the woman in the whole journey is given by:

v_{avg} = \frac{Total\ displacement}{Total\ time} = \frac{4200}{t + t'}

v_{avg} = \frac{4200}{1500 + 3600} = 0.8235\ m/s ≈ 0.824 m/s South

How much force is needed to lift a 25-kg mass at a constant verlocity?
Troyanec [42]

-- In order to achieve constant verlocity, the net force on the mass must be zero.  So if there ARE any forces acting on it, they must be balanced.

-- There is already a force on the mass that can't be eliminated . . . the force of gravity.

-- That force due to gravity is (mass x gravity) = (25 kg)(9.8 m/s²) = <em><u>245N</u></em> in the <u><em>downward</em></u> direction.

-- In order to 'balance' the forces and make them add up to zero, we have to provide another force of <em>245N</em>, all in the <em>upward</em> direction.

-- Then the forces on the object will be balanced, the NET force on it will be zero, and whichever way you start it moving, it will continue to move at a cornstant verlocity.
