Access how distance and mass affect the force of gravity between two objects.

Chemistry

TEA [102]4 years ago

Explanation:

The gravitational force between two objects is given by:

F=G\times \frac{Mm}{r^2}

F = Gravitational force

M , m = masses of two different objects

r = distance between the two objects

As we can see from the from that masses of the object are directly proportional to the gravitational force. Higher the masses of the of objects more will be the gravitational force and vice versa.

F\propto M\times m

As we can see from the from that square of the distances between the objects are inversely proportional to the gravitational force. More the distance between the objects less will be the gravitational force and vice versa.

F\propto \frac{1}{r^2}

In most lewis dot structures of neutral compounds, carbon as the central atom will be bound to a maximum of how many atoms, nitr
Fittoniya [83]
The total number of elements that one particular element can bond to can be determined by simply drawing the Lewis structure of the element.

Place the chemical symbol
Then look at the group number = valence electrons
Distribute the valence electrons around the atom.

C = 4 bonds
N = 3 bonds
O = 2 bonds

Under standard-state conditions, which of the following half-reactions occurs at the cathode during the electrolysis of aqueous
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

The following reaction will occur at cathode:

Ni^{+2}(aq)+2e--->Ni(s)

Explanation:

The two half reaction during electrolysis of aqueous nickel sulfate will be

a) anode reaction :

Water will undergo oxidation and will evolve oxygen gas at anode as shown in the given reaction:

2H_{2}O(l) ----> O_{2}(g) + 4H^{+}(aq) + 4e

b) Cathode reaction: The reduction of Nickel ion will occur by gain of two electrons as shown in the given equation:

Ni^{+2}(aq)+2e--->Ni(s)

Thus the overall reaction will be:

2H_{2}O(l) + 2Ni^{+2}----> O_{2}(g) + 4H^{+}(aq) + 2Ni(s)

a titration of 25.0mL of an x M hcl solution with 0.15M NaOH starts at a burette reading for NaOH of 0.20mL . Thr burette readin
VARVARA [1.3K]
Burette is a very accurate measuring instrument when adding solutions and has a measurement error of 0.05 mL.
Small volumes of solutions can be transferred from the burette at a controllable rate.
In this instance NaOH is in the burette.
Initial reading of NaOH is 0.20 mL
end point is the point at which the chemical reaction reaches completion. In acid base reactions, end point is when all the H⁺ ions have reacted with OH⁻ ions.
final reading of NaOH is 24.10 mL
to find the volume of NaOH dispensed we have to find the difference between final reading and initial reading
volume of NaOH added = 24.10 mL - 0.20 mL = 23.90 mL
volume of NaOH dispensed is 23.90 mL
