Efficiency  =

                 (useful work you get out of it) / (work you put into it)

           =        (100,000 J)  /  (250,000 J)

           =            0.4  =  40%    (choice-A)

Which is a valid velocity reading for an object?
pashok25 [27]

Answer:

45 m / s North is a valid vector reading for an object.

Explanation:

Then velocity will be defined by x km / hr North. And, magnitude of velocity defines the speed of the body. Although this tells the speed, but there is no description for the direction, so it's not a vector reading

How does competition affect population size? Use the terms carrying capacity and limiting factor with your example.
svetoff [14.1K]

Limiting factors are resources or other factors in the environment that can lower the population growth rate. Competition for resources like food and space cause the growth rate to stop increasing, so the population levels off. This flat upper line on a growth curve is the carrying capacity.

If both of these balls are traveling down a bowling lane at the SAME speed, which one would would have more kinetic energy?
Mariana [72]

Answer:

Ball A has more kinetic energy

Explanation:

As we know that Kinetic energy is given by

K. E = 1/2 mv²

Since K E is dependent upon both mass and velocity so increasing mass will produce more kinetic energy if the speed remains constant

As the mass of ball A is greater than ball B so we can say that the kinetic energy of ball is more than ball B

An electron in the n = 5 level of an h atom emits a photon of wavelength 1282.17 nm. to what energy level does the electron move
lions [1.4K]
This is an interesting (read tricky!) variation of Rydberg Eqn calculation.
Rydberg Eqn: 1/λ = R [1/n1^2 - 1/n2^2]
Where λ is the wavelength of the light; 1282.17 nm = 1282.17×10^-9 m
R is the Rydberg constant: R = 1.09737×10^7 m-1
n2 = 5 (emission)
Hence 1/(1282.17 ×10^-9) = 1.09737× 10^7 [1/n1^2 – 1/25^2]
Some rearranging and collecting up terms:
1 = (1282.17 ×10^-9) (1.09737× 10^7)[1/n2 -1/25]
1= 14.07[1/n^2 – 1/25]
1 =14.07/n^2 – (14.07/25)
14.07n^2 = 1 + 0.5628
n = √(14.07/1.5628) = 3
