a The kinetic energy of an object always has a positive value.

Explanation:

The kinetic energy of an object is the energy possessed by an object due to its motion, and it can be calculated as

K=\frac{1}{2}mv^2

where

m is the mass of the object

v is its speed

Let's now analyze each statement:

a The kinetic energy of an object always has a positive value. --> TRUE. In fact, the mass of the object is always positive, and the term v^2 is always positive as well, so the kinetic energy is always positive.

b The kinetic energy of an object is directly proportional to its speed. --> FALSE. Looking at the formula, we see that the kinetic energy is proportional to the square of the speed, K\propto v^2.

c The kinetic energy of an object is expressed in watts. --> FALSE. Watts is the units for measuring power, while the kinetic energy is measured in Joules, the units for the energy.

d The kinetic energy of an object is a quantitative measure of its inertia. --> FALSE. The inertia of an object depends only on its mass, not on its speed.

e The kinetic energy of an object is always equal to the object’s potential energy. --> FALSE. The potential energy depends on the altitude from the ground, not from the speed, so the two energies can be different.

PLEASE HELP ANSWER FAST As the vibration of molecules decreases, the _____ of the substance decreases. 1.temperature 2.internal
Aleksandr [31]
I think 1 and 3 is absolutely right but im not sure about number 2.
I think the answer is 4 all of the above because as the vibration decrease automatically the kinetic energy decrease and the temperature is decrease because when the vibration of molecules decrease thats mean the substances is slightly become a solid and you can get a solid cube of liquid if you freeze them

Explain the relationship between speed, velocity and acceleration
Montano1993 [528]
Speed is the rate at which something covers a distance; velocity is the same but it takes into account whether it goes forwards or backwards; and acceleration is the rate of an increase in speed.

A lawn roller in the form of a thin-walled, hollow cylinder with mass M is pulled horizontally with a constant horizontal force
olga nikolaevna [1]

Answer:

a_{cm}=\frac{F}{2M}\\\\F_{fr}=\frac{F}{2}

Explanation:

Given the mass as M, the rotational inertia of the mower is;

I_{cm}=MR^2

-The roller doesn't slip while rolling;

v_{cm}=wR, a_{cm}=\alpha R

\sum F_x=Ma_x, -F+F_{fr}=-Ma_{cm}\\\\a_{cm}=\frac{F-Fr}{M}    \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ eqtn1\\\\\sum \tau_{cm}=I_{cm}\alpha, F_{fr}(R)}=(MR^2)(\frac{a_{cm}}{R}), ->F_{fr}=Ma_c_m\ \ \  \ \ \ \ eqtn2\\\\a_{cm}=\frac{F-Ma_{cm}}{M}, ->F=2Ma_{cm}\\\\a_{cm}=\frac{F}{2M}\\\\\\\therefore F_{fr}=M(\frac{F}{2M})\\\\F_{fr}=\frac{F}{2}
