Answer: Yes the fuse will be able ti withstand ,when the air conditioner is switched on.

Explanation:

Power of air conditioner = 2 kW = 2000 W (1000 W=1kW)

Potential difference applied = V = 220 V

Fuse rating of the air conditioner = 10 A

Current used by the air conditioner = ?

power=current\times voltage= I\times V

I=\frac{2000 W}{220 V}=9.1 A

10 A >  9.1 A ,Yes the fuse will be able ti withstand ,when the air conditioner is switched on.

State two places where thermal conduction takes place.
Crank

Answer:

two places where thermal conduction takes place are gases and liquids, conduction is due to collisions of molecules during their random motion. Hence, the correct option is (C). Note: Though, the particle distances between gases are much more in comparison to solids and liquids, conduction slowly occurs in gases also

Based on the data given, in what direction will the car accelerate?
skad [1K]
Vertical forces:
There is a force of 579N acting upward, and a force of 579N
acting downward.
The vertical forces are balanced ... they add up to zero ...
so there's no vertical acceleration.
Not up, not down.

Horizontal forces:
There is a force of 487N acting to the left, and a force of 632N
acting to the right.
The net horizontal force is

        (487-left + 632-right)  -  (632-right - 487-right) =  145N to the right.

The net force on the car is all to the right.
The car accelerates to the right.

What is the new volume of the gas if the pressure on 350 L of oxygen
Iteru [2.4K]

Answer:

420 L

Explanation:

Applying Boyle's Law,

PV = P'V'.................... Equation 1

Where P = Initial pressure, P' = Final pressure, V = Initial volume, V' = Final volume.

make V' the subject of the equation

V' = PV/P'.................... Equation 2

From the question,

Given: P = 720 mmHg, V = 350 L, P' = 600 mmHg

Substitute these values into equation 2

V' = (720×350)/600

V' = 252000/600

V' = 420 L
