Answer:

The number of bulbs = 46 bulbs

Explanation:

Ohm's Law: Ohm's law states that the current flowing through a conductor is directly proportional to its potential difference across its ends. At constant temperature and pressure. It can be expressed mathematically as

V = IR............. Equation 1

making R the subject of formula in equation 1

R = V/I.............. Equation 2

Where R = combined resistance of the several bulbs, V = potential difference, I = current through the circuit.

Given: V= 115 V. I = 2 A.

Substituting these values into equation 2,

R = 115/2

R = 57.5 Ω

Since the bulbs are connected in series,

Number of bulbs = combined resistance/resistance of each bulb

Number of bulbs = R/Rₙ...................... Equation 3

Where Rₙ = resistance of each bulb, R =combined resistance of the bulb.

Also given: Rₙ = 1.25 Ω, and R = 57.5 Ω

Substituting these values into equation 3

Number of bulbs = 57.5/1.25

Number of bulbs = 46 bulbs.

Therefore the number of bulbs = 46 bulbs

A ball is dropped from a cliff. determine how far the ball fell after 7.5 seconds
grin007 [14]

Answer:

The ball fell 275.625 meters after 7.5 seconds

Explanation:

Free fall

If an object is left on free air (no friction), it describes an accelerated motion in the vertical direction, powered exclusively by the acceleration of gravity. The formulas needed to compute the different magnitudes involved are

V_f=gt

\displaystyle y=\frac{gt^2}{2}

Where V_f is the final speed of the object in free fall, assumed positive downwards, t is the time elapsed since the release and y is the vertical distance traveled by the object

The ball was dropped from a cliff. We need to calculate the vertical distance the ball went down in t=7.5 seconds. We'll use the formula

\displaystyle y=\frac{gt^2}{2}

\displaystyle y=\frac{(9.8)(7.5)^2}{2}

Y=275.625\ m

A magnetic field is directed perpendicular to the plane of a 0.15-m × 0.30-m rectangular coil consisting of 240 loops of wire. T
ValentinkaMS [17]

Answer:

7.344 s

Explanation:

A = 0.15 x 0.3 m^2 = 0.045 m^2

N = 240

e = - 2.5 v

B1 = 0.1 T

B2 = 1.8 T

ΔB = B2 - B1 = 1.8 - 0.1 = 1.7 T

Δt = ?

e = - dФ/dt

e = - N x A x ΔB/Δt

- 2.5 = - 240 x 0.045 x 1.7 / Δt

2.5 = 18.36 / Δt

Δt = 7.344 s

Answer:

Energy is force times distance. For your problem, no matter how long you push, the wall still goes nowhere, so there is no obvious energy transfer. so in conclusion, you actually didn't do anything :(

A person with mass mp = 76 kg stands on a spinning platform disk with a radius of R = 1.98 m and mass md = 191 kg. The disk is i
nalin [4]
1.7 rad/s The key thing here is conservation of angular momentum. The system as a whole will retain the same angular momentum. The initial velocity is 1.7 rad/s. As the person walks closer to the center of the spinning disk, the speed will increase. But I'm not going to bother calculating by how much. Just remember the speed will increase. And then as the person walks back out to the rim to the same distance that the person originally started, the speed will decrease. But during the entire walk, the total angular momentum remained constant. And since the initial mass distribution matches the final mass distribution, the final angular speed will match the initial angular speed.
