Answer: 7.88 grams

Explanation:

Molality of a solution is defined as the number of moles of solute dissolved per kg of the solvent.

Molarity=\frac{n}{W_s}

where,

n = moles of solute

 W_s = weight of solvent in kg

moles of solute =\frac{\text {given mass}}{\text {molar mass}}=\frac{xg}{74.5g/mol}

mass of solvent = 97 g = 0.097 kg    (1kg=1000g)

Now put all the given values in the formula of molality, we get

1.09=\frac{x}{74.5g/mol\times 0.097kg}

x=7.88g

Therefore, the mass in grams of potassium chloride that must be added to 97 g of water to make a 1.09 m solution is 7.88

In order to do multiple trials of an experiment, _____. A. change your hypothesis B. do the experiment more than once C. revise
Arisa [49]

B. do the experiment more than once

Explanation:

To do a multiple trials of an experiment, it is best to do the experiment more than once.

Experimental trials are mere replication of the procedures in an experiment.

  • Most hypothesis on which experiments are based must be repeatable.
  • When experiments are repeated through several trials, their accuracy is increased.
  • Multiple trials clearly makes it easy to make meaningful deductions from an experimental process.

When the following equation is balanced, what is the coefficient for CaCl2 ?
USPshnik [31]
To know if an equation is balanced you need to check and see how much of each molecule is on either side of the arrow. Right now you have 1-Ca, 2-H, 2-Cl on the left side of the arrow and 1-Ca, 2-Cl, and 2-H on the right side too. Because all the molecules are equal on both sides this means that the equation is balanced. So in front of the CaCl2 there is an assumed coefficient of 1. The answer is 1.

Hydrogen gas can combine with oxygen gas under certain conditions to form water.
stellarik [79]

Answer:

The correct answer is product.

Explanation:

Hydrogen gas reacts with oxygen gas to generate water molecule.

   2H2+O2 = 2H2O

We all know that that substances which are present at the left hand side of the equilibrium sign act as substrate and the substances those are present in the right hand side of the equilibrium sign are called products.

  From that point of view it can be stated that water or H2O is the product of the reaction between hydrogen and oxygen.
