Answer: 0.0023

Explanation:

I just answered this very same question. You can read my answer here: brainly.com/question/12077289.

1) First, you must write the balanced equilibrium equation, which will let you to determine the mole ratios of the different species in solution:

    HF ⇆ H⁺ + F⁻

Therefore, the mole ratio is: 1 HF: 1 H⁺ : 1  F⁻

2) Second, write the equilibrium constant of the acid, Ka, which will permit you to state the relationship of the concentrations in equilibrium:

        Ka = [H⁺] [F⁻] / [HF]

   [HF] is the searched concentration of the hydrofluoric acid

   From the mole ratio of the balanced chemical equation [H⁺] = [F⁻]

       Hence:

       Ka = [H⁺] [H⁺] / [HF] = [H⁺]² / [HF]

3) From the pH value you can calculate [H⁺], using the definition:

  •    pH= - log [H⁺]
  •    Substitute: 2.90 = - log [H⁺]

Clear [H⁺] using logarithm properties:

         [H^+]=10^{-2.90}=0.00126

4) Now you can substitute [H⁺] and the value of Ka in the equation for Ka:

   Ka = [H⁺]² / [HF] ⇒ [HF] = [H⁺]² / Ka = (0.00126)² / (6.8×10⁻⁴) = 0.00233.

Since the value of Ka has two significant figures, you must report the answer with two significan figures, i.e. 0.0023

What is a key element found in CO2 and glucose?
hram777 [196]
Carbon is the only possible solution in this question for the reason that the chemical formula for glucose is c6h12o6 (6, 12 and 6 underscore) and carbon dioxide is co2. Both of the chemical formula contains carbon that is why that is the main element.

PLEASEEEE HELP I WILL GIVE 30 POINTS Cobalt
Ymorist [56]

Answer:

Iron: Fe

Co: Cobalt

Na: Sodium

Tin: Sn

P: Phosphorus

F: Flourine

Fe: Iron

Magnesium: Mg

Uranium: U

Ca: Calcium

Carbon: C

Lead: Pb

Ag: Silver

Zn: Zinc

Ni: Nickle

----------------

There is honestly no right answer for this but here is what I would put:

Atomic mass increases as you go from left to right. If you look at the periodic table, it would be between Sn and Sb. It would bet here because Sn is 118 and Sb is 121. Basing it off of Antimony and putting it in group 15, the properties are that it is metallic and is a poor conductor of heat. I would call it Stin, which would be shortened to St.

Determine % yield if a student obtains 45 g of product in an experiment and the theoretical amount is determined to be 50 g
Katen [24]
Percentage yield=(actual yield/theoretical yield) x 100%
= (45/50) x 100%
= 90%

In Experiment 9, a 1.05 g sample of a mixture of NaCl (MW 58.45) and NaNO2 (MW 69.01) is reacted with excess sulfamic acid. The
Kaylis [27]

Answer:

There is 76.6 mL of nitrogen collected

Explanation:

Step 1: Data given

Mass of the sample = 1. 05 grams

The sample is 40.00% by mass NaNO2

MW of NaCl = 58.45 g/mol

MW of NaNO2 = 69.01 g/mol

Temperature = 22.0 °C

Pressure = 750.0 mmHg = (750/760) atm

The vapor pressure of water at 22.0°C is 19.8 mm Hg = 0.02605 atm

Step 2: Calculate mass of NaNO2

(40/100)*1.05  = 0.42 grams

Step 3: Calculate moles of NaNO2

Moles NaNO2 = 0.42 grams / 69.01 g/mol

Moles NaNO2 = 0.00608 moles

Step 4: Calculate moles of N2

For 2 moles of NaNO2 we'll get 1 mol of N2

For 0.00608 moles of NaNO2 we'll get 0.00608/2 = 0.00304 moles

Step 5: Calculate pressure of N2

P = 750.0 - 19.8 = 730.2 mmHg = (730.2/760)atm = 0.96079 atm = 97352 Pa

Step 6: Calculate volume of N2

PV = nRT

⇒ P = the pressure of N2 =  0.96079

⇒ V = the volume of N2 = TO BE DETERMINED

⇒ n = moles of N2 = 0.00304 moles

⇒ R = the gas constant = 0.08206 L*atm/K*mol

⇒ T = the temperature = 22°C = 295 Kelvin

V = (0.00304*0.08206*295)/0.96079

V = 0.0766 L = 76.6 mL

There is 76.6 mL of nitrogen collected
