The car will roll forward about the same speed that the truck collideed with it, and the truck will slow down greatly but still move a little.

newtons first law states that a object in motion will stay in motion unless acted on by an outside force and an object at rest will stay at rest for the same reason. the force of a moving object is equal to its mass times its acceleration.

What is the slope of the line plotted below? (-2,-1) (4,2) A. 1 B. 2 C. -0.5 D. 0.5
Dmitry [639]

Answer: D. 0.5

Explanation:

The slope formula is y2-y1/x2-x1.

2-(-1)/4-(-2) = 2+1/4+2

2+1/4+2 = 3/6 = 1/2

1/2 = 0.5

The slope is 1/2, or 0.5.

A car starts from rest and undergoes an acceleration of 4.0 m/s/s for a time of 5.0 s. What is the final velocity of the car?
Kruka [31]

Answer:

20m/s

Explanation:

acceleration=final velocity-initial velocity/time

4.0m/s²=v m/s-0m/s/5.0sec

5.0sec×4.0m/s²=v m/s-0m/s×5.0m/s/5.0m/s

20m/s=v

A volleyball is dropped from a cliff and a soccer ball is thrown upward from the same position. When each ball reaches the groun
vredina [299]
The question is whether the statement is true or false.

The answer if false.

Explanation:

It is exactly the opposite. The soccer ball will hit the ground with greater velocity.

Since the soccer ball is thrown upward, when it returns to the same heigth from which it was throwm it will have a velocity downward, which will make that the soocer ball reaches the ground at the bottom of the clif with greater velocity than the volleball.

The greater the velocity with which the soccer ball is thrown upward, the greater its velocity when reaches the same point from which it was thrown, and the greater the velocity with which it will hit the ground at the bottom of the clif.

Nostrana [21]
A spontaneous reaction is a term that is best describe to a type of reaction wherein it is started without even with the help of an outside force. In addition to that, this kind of reaction is commonly driven by the forces of enthalpy and entropy which are essential concepts to thermodynamics.
