Answer:

With this information is not possible to calculate the mass.

Explanation:

This is a characteristic problem of energy conservation, where kinetic energy becomes potential energy. For this particular problem, we have the initial speed as input data. The moment the ball comes out of the cannon we have the maximum kinetic energy, as the ball goes up the ball will gain more potential energy as the ball loses kinetic energy, until the moment the ball reaches the maximum height. At the maximum height point, the ball will have its maximum potential energy while its kinetic energy is zero. In other words, all the kinetic energy that was, in the beginning, was transformed into potential energy.

E_{p}=E_{k}\\m*g*h=0.5*m*v^2

In the above equation the masses are canceled and we can determine the maximum height, by means of the initial speed.

h=\frac{0.5*v^2}{g} [m]

But the mass cannot be determined, since it would be necessary to know the value of the energy, in order to determine the value of the mass.

Two asteroids are found at the same distance from the Sun. However, one asteroid is twice as massive the other. According to New
astraxan [27]

Answer:

IS TWICE THAT OF THE GRAVITATIONAL FORCE BETWEEN THE SMALLER ASTEROID AND THE SUN

Explanation:

The equation for gravitational force is:

F = G *  \frac{m1 * m2}{r^2}

where G is the gravitational constant.

Given that distance remains constant, and the mass of the bigger asteroid is bigger, we can get the following relation:

G *  \frac{2*m1 * m2}{r^2} = G *  \frac{m1 * m2}{r^2}

Here we can see that multiplying the mass by 2 gives us 2 times the gravitational force for the bigger asteroid.

Thus, the gravitational force for the bigger asteroid and the sun is two times that of the smaller asteroid and the sun.

The parking brake on a 1200kg automobile has broken, and the vehicle has reached a momentum of 7800kg.m/s. What is the velocity
liraira [26]

Answer:

Velocity of the vehicle (v) = 6.5 m/s

Explanation:

Mass of automobile (m) = 1200 kg

Momentum of vehicle (p) = 7800 kg m/s

By using formula of momentum:

\rm p = mv \\  \rm 7800 = 1200 \times v \\  \rm v =  \frac{7800}{1200}  \\  \rm v = 6.5  \: m {s}^{ - 1}
