we know that

one meter = 100 centimeter

1 m = 100 cm

clearly centimeter is smaller unit . to convert a smaller unit to higher unit , we must divide. so to convert distance measured in centimeter into meter , we must divide by 100

for example :

lets assume distance measured is 10 cm .

d = 10 cm

since 1 m = 100 cm

hence

d = 10 cm (1 m/100 cm )

d = (10 x 1 /100) (cm x m/cm)

d = 0.1 m

so correct choice is divide  by

D.100

The amount of oxygen in the reactants is 4 atoms. In the products, the oxygen is distributed to water (H2O) and O2 gas. Which co
Reil [10]

Answer:

2 in front of water and 1 in front of oxygen

Explanation:

This question is describing balancing a chemical reaction. A balanced chemical reaction has the same number of atoms of each elements on both the reactant and product side. According to the question, the reactants contains 4 atoms of oxygen. The reactants give rise to water (H20) and O2 in the products side.

This reaction is most likely the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) as follows:

H2O2 (l) ----> H2O (l) + O2(g)

Based on the description, H2O2 will be 2H2O2 as it is said to contain four atoms of oxygen. This means that, in order to have a balanced equation, we must place coefficient 2 in front of water and coefficient 1 in front of oxygen. That is;

2H2O2 (l) ----> 2H2O (l) + O2(g)

Monochromatic light falls on two very narrow slits 0.047 mm apart. Successive fringes on a screen 6.60 m away are 8.9 cm apart n
Svet_ta [14]

Answer::

   \lambda  =  634 nm

  f =  4.73 *10^{14} \  Hz

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

      The  distance of separation is  d =  0.047 \ mm =  0.047 *10^{-3} \ m

       The  distance of the screen is  D =  6.60 \ m

      The  width of the fringe is y  =  8.9 \ cm  =  0.089 \ m

Generally the width of the width of the fringes is mathematically represented as

          y  = \frac{\lambda  *  D }{d }

=>       \lambda  =  \frac{y *  d }{D }

=>      \lambda  =  \frac{ 0.089  *   (0.047 *10^{-3}) }{6.60  }

=>    \lambda  =  634 *10^{-9}

=>  \lambda  =  634 nm

Generally the speed of light is mathematically represented as

         c  =  f * \lambda

=>       f=  \frac{ c}{\lambda }

=>         f=  \frac{ 3.0 *10^{8}}{634 *10^{-9}}

=>     f =  4.73 *10^{14} \  Hz

A brick is dropped from rest from the top of a building through air (air resistance is present) to the ground below. how does th
sasho [114]
The correct option is this: KINETIC ENERGY JUST BEFORE REACHING THE GROUND IS LESS THAN THE GRAVITATIONAL POTENTIAL ENERGY AT THE TOP OF THE BUILDING.
When the object was on the top of the building, it has potential energy. This potential energy was converted to kinetic energy when the object started falling. In the process of falling, friction was present, which means that some of the energy will be converted to heat as a result of the friction. Therefore the kinetic energy of the falling object will be less than its potential energy, because some of the energy has been spent on friction.<span />
