What were some reasons why it was a good idea to remove the lid from the separatory funnel after each extraction? Select all tha
masya89 [10]
Liquid will no pour out. At the bottom the separating funnel consists of a valve it allow the liquid to flow out.The lid is on the top to pour in liquid from the top,it is air tight. Therefore as long as the lid is put, the liquid will not flow out at the bottom. The reason is that ,the incoming air has no way to get into the flask.

Which two statements describe what happens to the nuclei of atoms during a fusion reaction? O A. Large nuclei break apart into t
pashok25 [27]

Answer:

D. Nuclei with small masses combine to form nuclei with larger masses.

B. A small amount of mass in the nuclei that combine is converted to energy

Explanation:

A nuclear fusion, in contrary to fission, is the process by which the nuclei of two atoms combine to form a much larger atom with a large nuclei. Likewise, during a fusion reaction, a large amount of energy is released from the small amount of mass in the nuclei (two) that combines.

According to this question, the following are true of a fusion reaction:

- Nuclei with small masses combine to form nuclei with larger masses.

- A small amount of mass in the nuclei that combine is converted to enormous energy.

How are water-based solutions formed?
drek231 [11]

Answer:

D. Solutions are formed when the water’s polar molecules separate the polar molecules of an ionic or molecular compound.

Explanation:

Solutions are homogeneous mixtures formed by interaction between solutes and solvents.

Water based solutions have water as the solvents and mostly ionic and molecular compounds as their solutes.

Water is a polar solvent that is capable of dissolving many compounds by hydrating them. The molecules of water surrounds the solute and forces them  to separate.
