Calcium oxide is sometimes very challenging to store in the chemistry laboratory. This compound reacts with moisture in the air

and is converted to calcium hydroxide. If a bottle of calcium oxide is left on the shelf too long, it gradually absorbs moisture from the humidity in the laboratory. Eventually, the bottle cracks and spills the calcium hydroxide that has been produced. Write the unbalanced chemical equation for this process. (Omit states-of-matter in your answer.)

Explanation:

Calcium oxide absorbed moisture (water vapors ) from the air and forms calcium hydroxide as a product which why it is stored in dry place in a chemistry laboratory.

The chemical reaction between calcium oxide and moisture is given as:

CaO+H_2O\rightarrow Ca(OH)_2

According to stoichiometry, 1 mole of calcium oxide reacts with 1 mole of water vapors to give 1 mole of calcium hydroxide.

What things can the atomic radiation help us with
Triss [41]
Chemotherapy is when radiation is used to kill cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue cells, also doctors sometimes inject patients with a nuclear tracer to show problematic areas that need to be checked out, and Nuclear power plants use nuclear energy to create a large amount of energy from just a small amount of Uranium. These are just some of the ways nuclear radiation is used to help us.

What is the best example of electromagnetic energy in everyday life
sertanlavr [38]
Electromagnetic Radiation. Do you listen to the radio, watch TV, or use a microwave oven? All these devices make use of electromagnetic waves. Radio waves, microwaves, visible light, and x rays are all examples of electromagnetic waves that differ from each other in wavelength.

Calculate the mass of atoms of carbon and 3 molecules of hydrogen
PSYCHO15rus [73]

The mass of atoms of carbon and 3 molecules of hydrogen : 18 g/mol

Further explanation

An atomic mass unit ( amu or "u") is a relative atomic mass of 1/12 the mass of an atom of carbon-12.

The molar mass(molecular mass-formula mass-molecular weight(MW)) of a compound is the sum of the relative atomic mass (Ar) of the constituent elements of the compound

Can be formulated :

M AxBy = (x.Ar A + y. Ar B)

The mass of atom of Carbon(C)⇒Ar = 12 g/mol

The mass of 1 molecule of Hydrogen - H₂(MW) : 2 g/mol

The mass of 3 molecules of Hydrogen : 3 x 2 = 6 g/mol

So the mass of atoms of carbon and 3 molecules of hydrogen :

\tt 12+6=18~g/mol

Order the terms according to the path followed by oxygen during cellular respiration.
MArishka [77]

Answer:

Outside air

Nose

Lungs

Bloodstream

Cell

Explanation:

We breathe in oxygen from the outside air in through our nose and it travels to our lungs. Inside our lungs, we have Avioli's that diffuse oxygen into our bloodstream and the bloodstream helps the oxygen travel into our cells.

Hope this helps :)
