The correct answer is D - When burning a log, the wood combined its components with oxygen. if you could capture the products (CO2, H2O, C, CO, etc), you would have a greater mass than what you started with, burning the log combined the log's components with oxygen in order to burn it.

What happens to the molecules of water when the water changes from liquid to gas?.
ICE Princess25 [194]

Answer: Molecules only speed up when given energy, such as heating. When you heat water enough, it will boil and turn into water vapor. So, therefore, if water's molecules speed up, it will go into the gas phase

Explanation: As that liquid water is further heated, it evaporates and becomes a gas—water vapor. These changes between states (melting, freezing, and evaporating) happen because as the temperature either increases or decreases, the molecules in a substance begin to speed up or slow down.

Hope this helps! ^w^

Rosa preparo una disolución de agua salada mezclando 120 mg de agua con 5 mg de sal comun ¿ que concentración tiene la disolució
enot [183]

Concentration of the solution (% mass) = 4%

<h3>Further explanation</h3>

<em>Rosa prepared a salt water solution by mixing 120 mg of water with 5 mg of common salt, what concentration is the solution she prepare?</em>

<em />

<em />\tt \%mass=\dfrac{mass~solute}{mass~solution}\times 100\%<em />

mass solute=mass of salt=5 mg

mass solution :

mass solute(salt)+mass solvent(water) :

\tt 5~mg+120~mg=125~mg

\tt \%mass=\dfrac{5~mg}{125~mg}\times 100\%\\\\\%mass=4

How does knowing the meaning of prefix-trans help you remember what happens to light that strikes a translucent object ?
katovenus [111]

Explanation:

The prefix trans- and its variant tra- mean "across".

A translucent substance allows some light to go "across" it to the other side. Also, think about a transparent substance: it allows light to go "across" it; or a translation, it is a going "across" from one language into another.
