A person lowers a bucket into a well by turning the hand crank, as the drawing illustrates. The crank handle moves with a consta

nt tangential speed of 1.74 m/s on its circular path. The rope holding the bucket unwinds without slipping on the barrel of the crank. Find the linear speed with which the bucket moves down the well.

Answer:

0.435 m/s

Explanation:

Assuming that the missing sketch is what I've attached,

length of the handle = 0.2 m

Tangential speed (v) = 1.74 m/s

angular speed \omega =\frac {v}{r} = \frac {1.74}{0.2} =8.7 rad/s

The rod where bucket tied through the rope

Radius = 0.1/2 = 0.05 m

v=\omega r

v= 8.7*0.05 = 0.435 m/s

What is the speaker’s power output if the sound intensity level is 102 dBdB at a distance of 25 mm ? Express your answer to two
lesya [120]

Answer:

Power  = 124.50 W

Explanation:

Given that:

The Sound intensity of a speaker output is 102 dB

and the distance r = 25 m

For the intensity of sound,

\beta (dB)= 10 \  log_{10 } (\dfrac{I}{I_o})

where;

the threshold of hearing   I_o = 10^{-12} (W/m^2)

\dfrac{102 }{10}= log_{10}( \dfrac{I}{10^{-12}})

10^{10.2} =  \dfrac{I}{10^{-12}}

I = 10^{10.2} \times 10^{-12}

I = 0.01585 W/m²

If we recall, we know remember that ;

Power = Intensity × A rea

Power = 0.01585 W/m² × 4 × 3.142 × (25 m)²

Power  = 124.50 W

A train slows from 60m/s to 20m/s in 50s
Dovator [93]

Answer:

a = -4/5 m/s^2

Explanation:

Acceleration = change in velocity / time

change in velocity = final velocity - initial velocity

a = (20 m/s - 60 m/s) / 50 s

a = -40 m/s / 50 s

a = -4/5 m/s^2

hope this helps! <3
