Newton's 2nd law of motion:  (Honestly, if you don't
remember this by now, you're going to have problems.)

                           Force  =  (mass) x (acceleration).

                                        =  (60 kg) x (1.25 m/s²)

                                        =          90  kg-m/s²

                                        =          90 Newtons .

Which band of the electromagnetic spectrum has the lowest frequency
Murrr4er [49]

Answer:

Radio waves

Explanation:

Electromagnetic waves are produced by the oscillations of electric and magnetic field. They are transverse waves, which means that the oscillations occur in a direction perpendicular to the direction of propagation of the wave, and they are the only type of waves that can travel through a vacuum.

Electromagnetic waves are classified into 7 different types, depending on their frequencies. From lowest to highest frequencies, we have:

Radio waves

Microwaves

Infrared

Visible light

Ultraviolet

X-rays

Gamma rays

Radio waves are the electromagnetic waves with lowest frequency. They are used, for examples, for satellites, telecommunication, broadcasting.

A baseball travels at a velocity of 45.3 m/s towards second base for 17 s. Calculate the displacement of the ball.
Sergeu [11.5K]

Answer:

770.1 m

Explanation:

From the question given above, the following data were obtained:

Velocity (v) = 45.3 m/s

Time (t) = 17 s

Displacement (d) =?

Velocity is defined according to the following formula:

Velocity = Displacement /Time

With the above formula, we can obtain the displacement of the ball as follow:

Velocity = Displacement /Time

45.3 = Displacement / 17

Cross multiply

Displacement = 45.3 × 17

Displacement = 770.1 m

Therefore the displacement of the ball is 770.1 m

When sunlight excites electrons in chlorophyll, how do the electrons change?
Rufina [12.5K]

When the sunlight hits the electrons in the chlorophyll, these electrons would change by increasing its energy level. Then the electrons would move from one molecule to another in the thylakoid membrane, thus making the plant replenish its electrons using water energy.

A 1050 kg automobile is at rest at a traffic signal. At the instant the light turns green, the automobile starts to move with a
nirvana33 [79]

Answer:

a. 18.56m

b. 8.76m/s

Explanation:

We would be using the equations from Newton's laws to determine the position of the automobile, the automobile speed and the truck's position

Note that :

a = Constant acceleration = 3.3m/s²

t = 2.5s

Automobile position we would use this equation

S = ut + 1/2at²

Where u = 0

S = 0 + 1/2 × 3.3 × (2.5)²

Sa = 10.31m

Automobile speed

v = u + at

Where u = o

v =  0 + (3.3 ×2.5)

v = 8.25m/s

Truck position,

From the question constant speed of the truck = 9.0m/s

S = vt

St = 9.0 × 2.5.

= 22.5m

a. How far is the center of mass of the automobile-truck system from the traffic light at t = 2.5 s?

(MaSa + MtSt)/ Mass of the system

Where Ma = Mass of the automobile = 1050kg

Mt = Mass of the truck = 2200kg

Sa = 10.31m

St = 22.5m

Mass of the  system = Mass of automobile + Mass of truck

= 1050 + 2200kg

= 3250kg

= (1050 × 10.31) + (2200 × 22.5)/ 3250

= 60325.5 ÷3250

= 18.56m

b. What is the speed of the center of mass of the automobile-truck system then?

Speed of the center of mass of an automobile-truck system =

= (MaVa + MtVt)/ Mass of the system

Where Ma = Mass of the automobile = 1050kg

Mt = Mass of the truck = 2200kg

Va = Automobile speed=  8.25m/s

Vt = Constant speed of the truck = 9.0m/s

Mass of the  system = Mass of automobile + Mass of truck

= 1050 + 2200kg

= 3250kg

= (1050 × 8.25) + (2200 × 9.0)/ 3250

= 28462.5 ÷3250

= 8.76m/s
