The resolution of a microscope is the smallest resolvable distance between two objects. It is defined as the shortest distance between two points on a specimen and the observer can still distinguish them.
The wavelength is a determining and limiting factor in the degree of resolution afforded by the microscope. The relationship between the wavelength and the resolution is:
Shorter wavelengths yield higher resolution and visa versa.

Explain how a battery works. What are some possible materials you could use to make a battery for a circuit?
allochka39001 [22]

Answer:

Batteries are systems that store chemical energy and then release it as electrical energy when they are connected to a circuit. Batteries can be made from many materials, but they all share three main components: a metal anode, a metal cathode and an electrolyte between them. The electrolyte is an ionic solution that allows charge to flow through the system. When a load, such as a light bulb, is connected, an oxidation-reduction reaction occurs that releases electrons from the anode while the cathode gains electrons

The parachutists are not hurt when they jump out of an airplane, why?
Darya [45]
When the parachute deploys it increases the persons air resistance to (temporaily) greater than the force of weight. This causes them to decellerate. As they decellerate resistance decreases again until once again it balances out. Terminal velocity is reduced to a safe level, and landing without injury is possible.

We see a full moon by reflected sunlight. how much earlier did the light that enters our eye leave the sun
galina1969 [7]
We know that the source of light in the universe is the Sun. Hence, the light we see as moonlight travels from the Sun's surface, to the moon, then to Earth. So, before being able to solve this problem, we have to know the distance between the Sun and the moon, and the distance between the moon and Earth. In literature, these values are 3.8×10⁵ km (Sun to moon) and 384,400 km (moon to Earth). Knowing that the speed of light is 300,000 km per second, then the total time would be

Time = distance/speed
Time = (3.8×10⁵ km + 384,400 km)/300,000 km/s
Time = 2.548 seconds

Thus, it only takes 2.548 for the light from the Sun to reach to the Earth as perceived to be what we call moonlight.
