Answer:

P = 2.145kPa

Explanation:

Mass = 22.1g

Molar mass of CO2 = 44g/mol

Vol = 165mL = 0.165L

T = -188°C = (-188 + 273.15)K = 85.15K

R = 8.314J/mol.K

From ideal gas equation,

PV = nRT

P = pressure of the ideal gas

V = volume the gas occupies

n = number of moles if the gas

R = ideal gas constant

T = temperature of the gas

n = number of moles

n = mass / molar mass

n = 22.1 / 44 = 0.50moles

PV = nRT

P = nRT/ V

P = (0.5 × 8.314 × 85.15) / 0.165

P = 2145.26Pa = 2.145kPa

Pressure of the gas is 2.145kPa

For the reaction of hydrogen with iodine
fenix001 [56]

Answer:

r_{H_2} = \frac{-1}{2} r_{HI}

Explanation:

Hello!

In this case, considering the given chemical reaction:

H_2(g) + I_2(g) \rightarrow 2HI(g)

Thus, by applying the law of rate proportions, we can write:

\frac{1}{-1} r_{H_2} = \frac{1}{-1}r_{i_2} = \frac{1}{2} r_{HI}

Whereas the stoichiometric coefficients of reactants are negative due their disappearance and that of the product is positive due to its appearance. In such a way, when we relate the rate of disappearance of hydrogen gas to the rate of formation of hydrogen iodide, we obtain:

r_{H_2} = \frac{-1}{2} r_{HI}

Best regards!

Draw the Lewis structure for sulfur tetrafluoride, SF4
Vlad [161]

Notes:-

  • S has Z=16

Electronic configuration

  • 1s²2s²2p⁶3s²3p⁴

So

  • Valency is 4 and 6

  • Three fluorine atoms take 3 electrons and one lone pair present over S
  • As one electron remains unshared so we use + sign .
