Silicon has 2 isotopes, Silicon-28 with an abundance of 90% and Silicon-30 with an abundance of 10%. Find the AAM for Silicon.
JulsSmile [24]

Answer:

RAM

RAM = (mass \: of \:  ^{28} Si \:  \times \%abundance) + (mass \: of \:  ^{30} Si \:  \times \%abundance) \\ RAM = (28 \times 90\%) + (30 \times 10\%) \\ RAM = 25.2 + 3 \\ RAM = 28.2

How well did tossing the pennies simulate half lives?
SSSSS [86.1K]
Its a 50% chance that approx 1/2 of the pennies will land on tails. The next toss will result the same. and so on and so on. showing how a reaction would slowly eliminate 1/2 of the remaining lives per reaction, until nothing is left. I think it is a good stimulation.

How many significant digits are in 89015
Lilit [14]

Answer:

Total 5 significant digits.

Explanation:

Significant digits are the numbers that give a meaningful contribution. For example, digit 013 has the 2  significant digits and zero is not a significant digit because digits 1 and 3 give meaningful contribution but digit zero does not value meaningful contribution. Similarly, the 89015 has a total of 5 significant digits and these digits are the 8, 9, 0, 1,  and 5.
