Answer:

Explanation:

You have to declare which way is plus -- up or down. I will use down.

vi = - 2.85       The balloon is going up. That is the minus direction.

a = 9.81

d =   2.50 meters  distance in this case is from the object to the ground.

d = vi*t + 1/2 a t^2

-2.50 = -2.85*t + 1/2 * 9.81 * t^2

-2.50 = -2.85*t + 4.905 * t^2           transfer the left to the right.

-4.905 t^2 + 2.85*t + 2.50 = 0

Use the quadratic formula to solve for t.

It turns out that t = 1.06

Neutron stars are extremely dense objects formed from the remnants of supernova explosions. Many rotate very rapidly. Suppose th
mihalych1998 [28]

Answer:

10989.55932 rad/s

Explanation:

m = Mass of object

M = Mass of neutron star = 2\times 1.989\times 10^{30}\ kg

R = Radius of neutron star = 13000 m

G = Gravitational constant = 6.67 × 10⁻¹¹ m³/kgs²

\omega = Angular speed

Here, the gravitational force will balance the centripetal force

\dfrac{GmM}{R^2}=mR\omega^2\\\Rightarrow \omega=\sqrt{\dfrac{GM}{R^3}}\\\Rightarrow \omega=\sqrt{\dfrac{6.67\times 10^{-11}\times 2\times 1.989\times 10^{30}}{13000^3}}\\\Rightarrow \omega=10989.55932\ rad/s

The greatest possible angular speed an object can have is 10989.55932 rad/s

makvit [3.9K]

Answer:

q2 = -1.61*10^-5 C.

Explanation:

It was given that,

F = 0.985N

q1 = +8.40 X10-6 C

q2 = ?

r = 1.11 m

k = 9 x 10^9 (standard)

It generally follows that, if force is attractive, charge will be negative.

force, F = kq1q2/r^2

0.985 = 9*10^9*8.40*10^-6*q2/1.11^2

75600q2 = 0.985*1.11^2

75600q2 = 1.2136

q2 = 1.2136/75600 = 1.60529

q2 = -1.61*10^-5 C.

Which of the following is the energy of motion?
Bogdan [553]

Kinetic energy is the energy of the motion.

This is because the kinetic energy can be calculated by using the formula,

K.E.=1/2 mv^2

where, v is the velocity of moving body i.e. the body is in motion.
