Releasing any species into an environment it's not adapted to, or native to is dangerous because the species lacks the necessary adaptations to survive in the environment.

In the example of the frog, releasing it into a grassland would be a bad idea because the frog needs not only a "moist" area to thrive but it needs places to hide and plenty of insects to feed off of. Also, for reproduction it would need a pond, or some kind of water source!

I hope this is helpful!

AlexFokin [52]

The resistance of wire B will be D. 1/2R

What is resistance?

It should be noted that resistance simply means the measure of the opposition to the current flow that's in an electric circuit.

Based on the information given, the resistance will be calculated thus:

= 2L/4A

= 1/2pL/A

= R/2

Therefore, the resistance of wire B will be D. 1/2R

You attach a 1.10 kg block to a horizontal spring that is fixed at one end. You pull the block until the spring is stretched by
dangina [55]

Answer:

6.3 m/s

Explanation:

m = mass of the block = 1.10 kg

k = spring constant of the spring

x = stretch in the spring = 0.2 m

t = time taken by block to come to zero speed first time = 0.100 s

T = Time period of oscillation

Time period of oscillation is given as

T = 2t

T = 2 (0.1)

T = 0.2 s

Time period is also given as

T = 2\pi \sqrt{\frac{m}{k}}

0.2 = 2(3.14) \sqrt{\frac{1.10}{k}}

k = 1084.6 N/m

v = maximum speed of the block

using conservation of energy

Maximum kinetic energy = Maximum spring potential energy

(0.5) m v² = (0.5) k x²

m v² = k x²

(1.10) v² = (1084.6) (0.2)²

v = 6.3 m/s

Erica throws a tennis ball against a wall, and it bounces back. Which force is responsible for sending the ball back to Erica?
Anna71 [15]

OPTIONS :

A.) the force that the ball exerts on the wall

B.) the frictional force between the wall and the ball

C.) the acceleration of the ball as it approaches the wall

D.) the normal force that the wall exerts on the ball

Answer: D.) the normal force that the wall exerts on the ball

Explanation: The normal force acting on an object can be explained as a force experienced by an object when it comes in contact with a flat surface. The normal force acts perpendicular to the surface of contact.

In the scenario described above, Erica's tennis ball experiences an opposite reaction after hitting the wall.This is in relation to Newton's 3rd law of motion, which states that, For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

The reaction force in this case is the normal force exerted on the ball by the wall perpendicular to the surface of contact.
