Answer : The molar ratio of C, N and O are 0.05 : 0.01 : 0.1 or 5 : 1 : 10

Explanation :

First we have to calculate the number of moles C,N\text{ and }O.

(1) 2.2 grams of CO_2

First we have to calculate the moles of CO_2

\text{Moles of }CO_2=\frac{\text{Mass of }CO_2}{\text{Molar mass of }CO_2}=\frac{2.2g}{44g/mole}=0.05moles

Now we have to calculate the moles of carbon and oxygen.

As, 1 mole of CO_2 contains 1 mole of carbon

So, 0.05 mole of CO_2 contains 0.05 mole of carbon

The number of moles of carbon (C) = 0.05 mole

As, 1 mole of CO_2 contains 2 mole of oxygen

So, 0.05 mole of CO_2 contains 2\times 0.05=0.1 mole of oxygen

The number of moles of oxygen (O) = 0.1 mole

(2) 6.02\times 10^{21} atoms of nitrogen.

As, 6.02\times 10^{23} atoms of nitrogen present in 1 mole of nitrogen

So, 6.02\times 10^{21} atoms of nitrogen present in \frac{6.02\times 10^{21}}{6.02\times 10^{23}}=0.01 mole of nitrogen

The number of moles of nitrogen (N) = 0.01 mole

From this we conclude that, the molar ratio of C, N and O are:

C : N : O = 0.05 : 0.01 : 0.1

or,

C : N : O = 5 : 1 : 10

Therefore, the molar ratio of C, N and O are 0.05 : 0.01 : 0.1 or 5 : 1 : 10

Answer: -

5 : 1 : 3

Explanation: -

Mass of CO₂ = 2.2 g

Molar mass of CO₂ = 44 g / mol

Number of moles of CO₂ = \frac{Mass}{Molar mass}

                                          = \frac{2.2}{44}

                                         = 0.05 mol

Number of atoms of nitrogen = 6.02 x 10²¹

Number of moles of nitrogen = \frac{Number of atoms of nitrogen}{Avogadro's number}

                                                 = \frac{6.02x1021}{6.02x1023}

                                                = 0.01 mol

0.03 gram atom of sulphur means 0.03 moles of sulphur.

Thus the mole ratio of CO₂ : N : S = 0.05 : 0.01 : 0.03

                                                         = 5 : 1 : 3

What is the Percent yield is 4.65 got copper is produced by 1.87 percent yield is 4.65 got copper is produced when 1.87 grams of
marta [7]

Answer:

Percent yield = 69.4%

Explanation:

Given data:

Percent yield  = ?

Actual yield of copper = 4.65 g

Mass of aluminium = 1.87 g

Mass of copper sulfate = excess

Solution:

Chemical equation:

2Al + 3CuSO₄   →   Al₂(SO₄)₃ + 3Cu

Number of moles of Aluminium:

Number of moles = mass/ molar mass

Number of moles = 1.87 g/27 g/mol

Number of moles = 0.07 mol

Now we will compare the moles of Al with copper.

                 Al           :            Cu

                   2           :              3

                0.07         :              3/2×0.07 =0.105 mol

Mass of Copper:(Theoretical yield)

Mass = Number of moles × molar mass

Mass = 0.105 mol × 63.5 g/mol

Mass = 6.7 g

Percent yield:

Percent yield = Actual yield / theoretical yield × 100

Percent yield = 4.65 g/ 6.7 g × 100

Percent yield = 69.4%

Question 4 (1 point)<br> If you have exactly one million atoms how many moles do you have?
rjkz [21]

Answer:

                       1.66 × 10⁻¹⁸  Moles

Explanation:

                     As we know one mole of any substance contains 6.022 × 10²³ particles (atoms, ions, molecules or formula units). This number is also called as Avogadro's Number.

The relation between Moles, Number of Atoms and Avogadro's Number is given as,

             Number of Moles  =  Number of Atoms ÷ 6.022 × 10²³ Atoms/mol

Putting values,

              Number of Moles  =  1.0 × 10⁶ Atoms ÷ 6.022 × 10²³ Atoms/mol

              Number of Moles  =  1.66 × 10⁻¹⁸  Moles
