Answer:

First, let's write some definitions.

Displacement is the distance between the final position and the initial position.

Here we can define north as the positive direction and south as the negative one.

First, we assume that the initial position is 0m

We know that she first goes 43m north

Then she goes 38m south

Then she goes 16m north

And then she goes south again for X meters, such that the total distance traveled is 122m

The total distance traveled is the sum of all distances traveled, regardless of the direction

then we have:

43m + 38m + 16m + X = 122m

Solving this for X we get:

97m + X = 122m

X = 122m - 97m = 25m

So she finally goes 25m south.

Now let's analyze how her position changes:

First, she starts at 0m

Then she goes north for 43m, then her new position is:

0m + 43m = 43m

Now she goes 38m south, then her new position is:

43m - 38m = 5m

Then she goes north again, for 16m

Then the new position is:

5m + 16m = 21m

Now she goes south for 25m, then the final position is:

21m - 25m = -4m

The displacement is equal to the difference between the final position and the initial one, so the displacement is:

-4m - 0m = -4m

The displacement is -4m.

This isn’t homework related but what methods do you guys recommend for shifting realities ? .I’ve tried the raven method for wee
elena55 [62]

Answer:

subs

Explanation:

I've seen subliminals online that are supposed to help shifting. You could see for yourself if they work for you. You could probably also use the method where you act like you already have your desires and results. I have seen a lot of people act as if they have their desires and affirm it constantly. Ex: you want to lose weight, so you act as if you already are your desired weight and tell yourself that you are such and such weight, and don't contradict it by saying that you aren't. I hope that this helps.

Energy transformation in wound spring of a toy car?<br>give your own answrr
BaLLatris [955]

Answer:

The work done in winding the spring gets stored in the wound up spring in the form of elastic potential energy (i.e potential energy due to change in shape). ... During this process, the potential energy stored in it gets converted to kinetic energy. This turns the wheels of the toy car.

In a uniform circular motion map, what is always true? Check all that apply.
grandymaker [24]

Answer:

Velocity vectors are always perpendicular to the circle.

Acceleration vectors point toward the center of the circle.

Velocity vectors are the same length.

Explanation:

(THESE ARE NOT MY WORDS BTW)

1) Acceleration and velocity are vectorial quantities, which means they have magnitude and direction.

2) In a circular motion velocity direction changes all the time, which means that it is accelerated.

3) In a uniform circular motiion, the velocity changes in a constant value. This is the rate of change of velocity, which is the magnitude of the acceleration, is constant (uniform).

4) The velocity is perpendicular to the path, i.e. the circle. You can see it if you think that if the object stopped changing the direction, then the object would follow a straight path (as per inertia principle). That is why this velocity is called tangential velocity (to differentiate it of the angular velocity).

This is what the option C says "Velocity vectors are always perpendicular to the circle". Then this is true.

5) The constant change of direction in a circular path, means that the object is been pushed, accelerated, toward the center of a circle. This is, all the time the object in motion tries to follow the perpendicular path but a push (a force) directed to the center of the circle changes its direction. Such force accelerates the object toward the center of the circle. So, the acceleration vectors point toward the center of the circle, which is what the option D says. So, this is also true.

6) Since the motion is uniform, the magnitude or length of the velocity vectors are always the same, are constant. So, the option E. is also true.
