Answer: V2= 15.0403226 Liters

Explanation:

Use V1/T1=V2/T2

Make sure you change the degrees Celsius to Kelvin. (Kelvin = degrees Celsius +273)

10.0L / 248 K = V2/ 373 K

Cross multiply V1 and T2 and divide by T1

(10.0 L)( 373K)/ 248 K = V2

V2= 15.0403226 Liters (Kelvin cancels out)

How many moles of 2H2 are formed from 3.64 mole of H2O?
tatiyna

Answer: 2 H2 + O2 → 2 H2O, you get the same number of moles of water as H2, as long as you have 1 mole of O2. So, with 3 moles of H2, as long as you have 1.5 moles of O2, you will get 3 moles of H2O. In my opinion.

What was a direct result of the Bay of Pigs invasion
Dafna1 [17]

2) Cold War tensions increased.

The Bay of Pigs invasion was carried out by Cuban exiles that had been trained by the United States' Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).  The Cuban counter revolutionaries failed and Kennedy was embarrassed. Within just  days, the force of exiles was soundly defeated by the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, commanded by Fidel Castro.   In the aftermath of the Bay of Pigs affair, Cuba requested that the USSR, as its communist sponsor, place missiles in Cuba to deter further US-sponsored action against the Castro regime.

The correct answer is

B.

\Delta H=2(1072)+498 -4(799)

Explanation:

Enthalpy of reaction :

It is the amount of energy released/absorbed when one mole of the substance is formed from the reactant at a constant pressure.

The enthalpy of a reaction can be calculated using :

\Delta H=\Delta H_{reactants}-\Delta H_{products}

2CO+O_{2}\rightarrow 2CO_{2}

\Delta H_{reactants}=2(C\equiv O)+O=O

\Delta H_{reactants}=2(1072)+498

H_{products}=2(2\times C=O)

H_{products}=4\times 799

\Delta H=\Delta H_{reactants}-\Delta H_{products}

\Delta H=2(1072)+498 -4(799)

units = \frac{kJ}{mole}

Please note that :

The carbon monoxide , CO should be taken as C triple bond O. Not C=O .

So , the bond energy =1072 is used

\Delta H=2(1072)+498 -4(799)
