The question is incomplete. The complete question is :

A mass is attached to the end of a spring and set into oscillation on a horizontal frictionless surface by releasing it from a compressed position. The record of time is started when the oscillating mass first passes through the equilibrium position, and the position of the mass at any time is described by x = (4.7 cm)sin[(7.9 rad/s)πt].

Determine the following:

(a) frequency of the motion

(b) period of the motion

(c) amplitude of the motion

(d) first time after t = 0  that the object reaches the position x = 2.6 cm

Solution :

Given equation : x = (4.7 cm)sin[(7.9 rad/s)πt].

Comparing it with the general equation of simple harmonic motion,

 x = A sin (ωt + Φ)

  A = 4.7 cm

  ω = 7.9 π

a). Therefore, frequency, $f=\frac{\omega}{2 \pi}$

                                             $=\frac{7.9 \pi}{2 \pi}$

                                             = 3.95 Hz

b). The period, $T=\frac{1}{f}$

                        $T=\frac{1}{3.95}

                            = 0.253 seconds

c). Amplitude is A = 4.7 cm

d). We have,

    x = A sin (ωt + Φ)

    $x_t=4.7 \sin (7.9 \pi t)$

    $2.6 = 4.7 \sin (7.9 \pi t)$

     $\sin (7.9 \pi t) = \frac{26}{47}$

     $7.9 \pi t = \sin^{-1}\left(\frac{26}{47}\right)$

          Hence, t = 0.0236 seconds.

miss Akunina [59]

Answer:

0.256 hours

Explanation:

<u>Vectors in the plane </u>

We know Office A is walking at 5 mph directly south. Let X_A be its distance. In t hours he has walked

X_A=5t\ \text{miles}

Office B is walking at 6 mph directly west. In t hours his distance is

X_B=6t\ \text{miles}

Since both directions are 90 degrees apart, the distance between them is the hypotenuse of a triangle which sides are the distances of each office

D=\sqrt{X_A^2+X_B^2}

D=\sqrt{(5t)^2+(6t)^2}

D=\sqrt{61}t

This distance is known to be 2 miles, so

\sqrt{61}t=2

t =\frac{2}{\sqrt{61}}=0.256\ hours

t is approximately 15 minutes

A car travelling at 15 m/s comes to rest in a distance of 14 m when the brakes are applied.
stira [4]

Answer:

-8.04 m/s2

Explanation:

To find the answer to this, you have to use the 4th kinematic equation:

v^{2} = v^{2}_{0}  + 2ax

You plug into the equation to get:

0 = 15^{2} + 2a(14)

solve for a to get

-8.04 m/s2

Answer:

B. chemical only.

Explanation:

In the process of respiration which is a chemical process where organic compound is released. In this process exergonic reaction takes place in which compound changes into different ones.

Following are the two types of respiration:-

1] Aerobic respiration:- In this type of respiration requirement of oxygen is more and energy released is more.

2] Anaerobic respiration:- In this type of respiration oxygen requirement is less and energy released is also less.
