Express the angular velocity ω of the wheel in terms of the displacement d, the magnitude F of the applied force, and the moment

of inertia of the wheel Iw, if you've found such a solution. Otherwise, following the hints for this part should lead you to express the angular velocity ω of the wheel in terms of the displacement d, the wheel's radius r, and α.

Answer:

The angular velocity of the wheel in terms of d, F, and I is,  ω = d/t (F/I α)    s⁻¹

Explanation:

Given,

The angular velocity ω

The displacement d

The magnitude of the applied force, F

The moment of inertia of the wheel I = mr²

The angular velocity can be written as

                         ω = v /r

where,

                     v - linear velocity

                      r - radius of the wheel

                          ω = d/t (1/r)               (∵ v = d /t)

The force can be written as,

                          F = m a

                              = m α r                  (∵ a = α r)

Multiplying both sides by r

                          F r = m r² α

                           F r = I α                     (∵ I = mr²)

                              r = I α / F

Substituting in the above equation for ω

                          ω = d/t (F/I α)    s⁻¹

Hence, the angular velocity of the wheel in terms of d, F, and I is,  ω = d/t (F/I α)    s⁻¹

A massless, hollow sphere of radius R is entirely filled with a fluid such that its density is p. This same hollow sphere is now
Vesnalui [34]

Answer:

a. 8p

Explanation:

We are given that

Radius of hollow sphere , R1=R

Density of hollow sphere=\rho

After compress

Radius of hollow sphere, R2=R/2

We have to find density of the compressed sphere.

We know that

Density=\frac{mass}{volume}

Mass=Density\times volume=Constant

Therefore,\rho_1 V_1=\rho_2V_2

Volume of sphere=\frac{4}{3}\pi r^3

Using the formula

\rho\times \frac{4}{3}\pi R^3=\rho_2\times \frac{4}{3}\pi (R/2)^3

\rho R^3=\rho_2\times \frac{R^3}{8}

\rho_2=8\rho

Hence, the density of  the compressed sphere=8\rho

Option a is correct.

A sample of gas has an initial volume of 4.5 L at a pressure of 754 mmHg . Part A If the volume of the gas is increased to 8.5 L
Firdavs [7]

Answer:

The pressure will be of 399.17 mmHg.

Explanation:

p1= 754 mmHg

V1= 4.5 L

p2= ?

V2= 8.5 L

p1*V1 = p2*V2

p2= (p1*V1)/V2

p2= 399.17 mmHg
