Answer:

96 m

Explanation:

Given,

Initial velocity ( u ) = 4 m/s

Final velocity ( v ) = 20 m/s

Time ( t ) = 8 s

Let Acceleration be " a ".

Formula : -

a = ( v - u ) / t

a = ( 20 - 4 ) / 8

= 16 / 8

a = 2 m/s²

Let displacement be " s ".

Formula : -

s = ut + at² / 2

s = ( 4 ) ( 8 ) + ( 2 ) ( 8² ) / 2

= 32 + ( 2 ) ( 64 ) / 2

= 32 + ( 2 ) ( 32 )

= 32 + 64

s = 96 m

Therefore, it travels 96 m in time 8 s.

If a calibration curve of absorbance vs procaine hydrochloride concentration (mol L') is linear with the equation y = 240000x fo
coldgirl [10]

Answer:

8000 L/ mol cm is the value of the molar absorptivity coefficient.

Explanation:

The slope of the absorbance- concentration graph is equal to the product of path length and molar absorptivity coefficient.

\frac{dA}{dc}=\epsilon l

\frac{dA}{dc}= Rate of change of absorbance with respect to concentration

\epsilon = molar absorptivity coefficient

l = Path-length

Given the slope of graph of absorbance vs procaine hydrochloride concentration.

y = 240000 x (linear equation)

Path length of cuvette = 3 cm

A=240000 c

A=\epsilon c\times l=(\epsilon l)\times c

240000=\epsilon \times 3

\epsilon =\frac{24000}{3}=8000

The units of \epsilon = 8000 l/mol cm

8000 L/ mol cm is the value of the molar absorptivity coefficient.

En una barra de 6m que se utiliza como palanca se coloca el fulcro a 2 m de distancia del extremo derecho, como se muestra en la
Anna007 [38]

Answer:

Fp = 45 N

VMR = 2

VMI = 2

Efficiency = 100%

Explanation:

English Translation

In a 6m bar that is used as a lever, the fulcrum is placed 2m away from the right end, as shown in the figure. At that same end it is required to support a load of 90N. Neglecting lever weight, determined Fp, VMI, VMR and system efficiency

Solution

With the diagram not massively needed to solve this question.

Although, the load of 90 N is placed at the right end of the bar, the fulcrum is placed 2 m from that right end and the balancing force or effort is placed at the extreme most left end of the 6 m bar.

Taking moment about the fulcrum,

The sum of clockwise moments must balance the sum of anti-clockwise moments.

(Load) × (Distance of load from the fulcrum) = (Balancing force) × (Distance of balancing force from fulcrum)

Load = L = 90 N

Distance of load from the fulcrum = 2 m

Balancing force or Effort = Fp = ?

Distance of balancing force from fulcrum = 6 - 2 = 4 m

90 × 2 = Fp × 4

Fp = (180/4) = 45 N

The mechanical advantages are them given as

VMR = (Load)/(Effort) = (90/45) = 2

VMI = (Distance of Effort from the fulcrum)/(Distance of Load from fulcrum) = (4/2) = 2

Efficiency is then given as the VMR divided by VMI in percentage terms

Efficiency = 100% × (VMR/VMI)

Efficiency = 100% × (2/2) = 100%

Hope this Helps!!!

What would you do if you are caught on thunder storm
Norma-Jean [14]

If caught outside in a thunderstorm, find a low spot away from trees, fences, and poles. If your skin tingles and hair stands on end, lightning is about to strike. Crouch down immediately, balancing on the balls of your feet, placing hands on knees with head between them.

A gas sample occupies 4.2 L at a pressure of 101 kPa. What volume will it occupy if the pressure is increased to 235 kPa?
Dmitrij [34]
For this we want to use Boyle's Law. Boyle’s law states that the pressure and volume of a fixed quantity of a gas are inversely proportional under constant temperature conditions. The formula for this is P1V1 = P2V2. We want to solve this out so it equals V2 (Volume 2). So P1V1 / P2 = V2. Then plug in your values for the variables. So (101)(4.2) / 235 = V2; so 424.2 / 235 = V2. The final volume equals 1.81. I hope this helps, If not I am very sorry.

A projectile is launched at an angle of 29 degrees above the horizontal with an initial velocity of 36.6 at an unknown height.
alex41 [277]

The magnitude of the unknown height of the projectile is determined as 16.1 m.

Magnitude of the height

The magnitude of the height of the projectile is calculated as follows;

H = u²sin²θ/2g

H = (36.6² x (sin 29)²)/(2 x 9.8)

H = 16.1 m

Thus, the magnitude of the unknown height of the projectile is determined as 16.1 m.
