Hurricane Harvey caused a massive amount of flooding that affected

Physics

Answer:

Explanation:

Opinion only here

First one is only an opinion, Some terrestrial animals could certainly avoid a flood, or at least swim out of it if it came too fast.

Second one is probably false as it would normally take many, many, generations for a species to become aquatic.

Third ones starts out solid with the statement about fleeing to higher ground, but then becomes false when the "or perish" option is added. Generally perishing does NOT qualify as survival.

I'd say that the strongest answer is NONE OF THE ABOVE

27b. You're in an airplane that flies horizontally with speed 1000 km/h (280 m/s) when an engine falls off. Ignore air resistanc
jonny [76]

Answer:

8400m

Explanation:

The engine that falls off would have the same constant horizontal velocity as the airplane's when if falls off if we ignore air resistance. So it would have a horizontal velocity of 280m/s for 30seconds before it hits the ground.

Therefor the horizontal distance the engine travels during its fall is

280 * 30 = 8400m

A circle has an initial radius of 50ft when the radius begins decreasing at a rate of 2ft/s. what is the rate of change of the a
valkas [14]
The area of the circle with radius r is
A = πr²

The rate of change of area with respect to time is
\frac{dA}{dt} = \frac{dA}{dr} . \frac{dr}{dt} =2 \pi r. \frac{dr}{dt}

The rate of change of the radius is given as
\frac{dr}{dt} =-2 \,  \frac{ft}{s}
Therefore
\frac{dA}{dt} =-4 \pi r \,  \frac{ft^{2}}{s}

When r = 10 ft, obtain
\frac{dA}{dt}|_{r=10 \, ft} = -40 \pi  \,  \frac{ft^{2}}{s}

Answer: - 40π ft²/s (or - 127.5 ft²/s)
