Given :

The temperature of 10 kg of a substance rises by 55oC when heated.

To Find :

The  temperature rise when 22 kg of the substance is heated with the same quantity of heat.

Solution :

We know, change in temperature when heat is given to object is given by :

\Delta H = m S\Delta T

It is given that same amount of heat is given in both the cases also the substance is same.

So,

M_1 S \Delta T_1 = M_2 S \Delta T_2\\\\10\times 55 = 22 \times \Delta T_2\\\\\Delta T_2 = 25^o\ C

Hence, this is the required solution.

What is the rate at which an object moves but doesn't include direction?
Juli2301 [7.4K]
Great question !

The rate at which an object covers distance, without worrying
about the direction it's moving, is the object's SPEED .

When the direction is also given, then you have the object's VELOCITY.

This question is important.  It gives us a chance to point out that
"velocity" is not just a fancy word for speed that you use when you
want to sound smart.  There's actually an important difference between
'speed' and 'velocity'.

Zina [86]

Answer:

The value of spring constant is 266.01 \frac{N}{m}

Explanation:

Given:

Mass of pellet m = 2.01 \times 10^{-2} kg

Height difference of pellet rise h_{f} - h_{o} = 6.03 m

Spring compression x = 9.45 \times 10^{-2} m

From energy conservation law,

Spring potential energy is stored into potential energy,

  mg(h_{f} -h_{o})  = \frac{1}{2} kx^{2}

Where k = spring constant, g = 9.8 \frac{m}{s^{2} }

  k = \frac{2mg(h_{f} -h_{o} )}{x^{2} }

  k = \frac{2 \times 9.8 \times 6.03\times 2.01 \times 10^{-2} }{(9.45\times 10^{-2} )^{2} }

  k = 266.01 \frac{N}{m}

Therefore, the value of spring constant is 266.01 \frac{N}{m}

1. A metal ball has a mass of 20 g and a volume of 6 cm3.Find its density
vesna_86 [32]

Answer:

density of the ball is 3.33 g/cc

Explanation:

As we know that the density is the ratio of mass and volume

here we know that

mass = 20 g

volume = 6 cubic cm

so we will have

\rho = \frac{m}{V}

\rho = \frac{20}{6} g/cm^3

\rho = 3.33 g/cm^3

The gravitational force between two objects is 2400 N. What will be the gravitational force between the objects if the mass of o
motikmotik

Answer:

4800N

Explanation:

Lets assume,

Mass of first object = m₁

Mass of second object = m₂

Distance between the two objects = r

Thus the force between the two objects will be

F = \frac{G\times m_{1}\times m_{2}}{r^{2}}

where, G = Universal gravitational constant

Given, F = 2400N

New mass of second object = 2m₂

Now, the force will be

F_{2} = \frac{G\times m_{1}\times 2m_{2}}{r^{2}}

F_{2}= 2\frac{G\times m_{1}\times m_{2}}{r^{2}}

F_{2}= 2F

F_{2}= 2\times2400

Thus, F₂ = 4800N
