Answer:

C₁₅H₁₅Co₃

Explanation:

Compound = Carbon+ Hydrogen + Cobalt

Mass of carbon = 1.453 g

Mass of Hydrogen = 0.122 g

Mass of Cobalt = 3 - 1.453 - 0.122 = 1.425 g

Dividing all through b their molar masses

Carbon = 1.453 / 12 = 0.1211

Hydrogen = 0.122 / 1 = 0.122

Cobalt = 1.425 / 58.9 = 0.02419

Divide all through by the smallest number (0.02419)

Carbon = 0.1211 / 0.02419 = 5

Hydrogen = 0.122 / 0.02419 = 5

Cobalt = 0.02419 / 0.02419 = 1

The empirical formular = C5H5Co

(C5H5Co)n = 372

[(12 * 5 ) + (5 * 1 ) + 58.9]n = 372

n = 372 / 123.9 = 3

Chemical formular;

C₁₅H₁₅Co₃

A solution is made by mixing 34.5 g of sugar with 75.0 g of water. What is the mass percent of sugar in this solution?
lubasha [3.4K]

the mass percent of sugar in this solution is 46%.

Answer:

Solution given:

mass of solute=34.5g

mass of solvent=75g

mass percent=\frac{mass\:of\:solute}{mass\:of \:solvent}*100\%

=\bold{\frac{34.5}{75.0}*100\%=46\%}

Newton's second law of motion is F = ma.
ZanzabumX [31]

Answer: The acceleration of the object is 2m/s^2. If net force increases, acceleration will also increase and if mass increases, the acceleration will decrease.

Explanation:

Force is defined as the product of object's mass and acceleration.

Mathematically,

F = ma     ......(1)

or,

a = F/m      .....(2)

where,

F = Force exerted on an object = 60N

m = mass of an object = 30kg

a = acceleration of the object = ?

Putting values in above equation, we get:

a = 60 kg.m/s^2/30 kg = 2m/s^2

The acceleration of the car is 2m/s^2.

From equation 2, it is visible that acceleration is directly proportional to force. This means that \if force increases, acceleration also increases.

And acceleration is inversely proportional to mass of the object. This means that if mass increases, the acceleration decreases.

Hence, if net force increases, acceleration will also increase and if mass increases, the acceleration will decrease.

Rank the following compounds in order of decreasing boiling point: potassium fluoride (KF), acetylene (C2H2), and formaldehyde (
otez555 [7]

Answer: KF > CH_2O > C_2H_2

Explanation:

The order of boiling point depends upon the type of interactions present between the molecules.

Potassium fluoride (KF) is an ionic compound and the opposite ions are held together by strong electrostatic forces.

C_2H_2 is a covalent compound and the molecules are held together by weak van der Waals' forces.

Formaldehyde is a polar compound due to presence of polar carbonyl group. Hence dipole-dipole force is present between formaldehyde molecules.

Thus the decreasing order of boiling point is:

KF > CH_2O > C_2H_2
