Answer: The force of the engines is 5700N

Explanation:

By the second Newton's law, we have that:

F = m*a

Force equals mass times acceleration.

In this case, we have:

m = 1400kg

a = 3 m/s^2

And the force will be equal to the force of the engines, f, plus the force of  the current, -1500 N (because this is pushing you back, so it is in the opposite direction than f), then we have:

F = f - 1500N

Then we have the equation:

f - 1500N = 1400kg*3m/s^2 = 4200N

f - 1500N = 4200N

f = 4200N + 1500N = 5700N

The force of the engines is 5700N

A force F→=(cx-3.00x2)iˆ acts on a particle as the particle moves along an x axis, with F→ in newtons, x in meters, and c a cons
DerKrebs [107]

Answer:

Explanation:

Work done = ∫Fdx

= ∫(cx-3.00x²)   dx

[ c x² / 2 - 3 x³ / 3 ]₀²

= change in kinetic energy

= 11-20

= - 9 J

[ c x² / 2 -  x³   ]₀² = - 9

c x 2² / 2 - 2³ = -9

2c - 8 = -9

2c = -1

c = - 1/2

A motorcycle rider moving with an initial velocity of 9.2 m/s uniformly accelerates to a speed of 19.1 m/s in a distance of 32.0
Vlada [557]
Acceleration = (final velocity^2 - initial velocity^2) / 2 * distance

Acceleration = (19.1^2 - 9.2^2) / 2 * 32

Acceleration = (364.81 - 84.64) / 64

Acceleration = 280.17 / 64

Acceleration = 4.3777m/s^2

A ship sets out to sail to a point 120 km due north. an unexpected storm blows the ship to a point 100 km due east of its starti
Pavel [41]
If you draw the problem, it would look like that shown in the attached picture. The total length the ship will now travel can be solved using the Pythagorean theorem. The solution is as follows:

d = √(120)²+(100)²
d = 156.2 km

So, the ship will have to travel 156.2 km to the northwest direction.

Today chemistry is based on the law ofwhat is the matter
melisa1 [442]

Answer:

One scientific law that provides the foundation for understanding in chemistry is the law of conservation of matter. It states that in any given system that is closed to the transfer of matter (in and out), the amount of matter in the system stays constant.
