Two concentric current loops lie in the same plane. The smaller loop has a radius of 3.4 cmcm and a current of 12 AA. The bigger
Free_Kalibri [48]

Answer:

Explanation:

Given that,

Current in loops are

i1 = 12A

i2 = 20A

The loops are 3.4cm apart

The magnetic field at the center is found to be zero, so when want to find the radius of bigger loop

Magnetic Field is given as

B= μoi/2πr

Where,

μo is a constant = 4π×10^-7 Tm/A

r is the distance between the two wires

i is the current in the wires

B is the magnetic field

NOTE

Field due to large loop should be equal to the smaller loop.

B1 = B2

μo•i1 / 2π•r1 = μo•i2 / 2π•r2

Then, μo, 2π cancels out, so we have

i1 / r1 = i2 / r2

Make r2 subject of formula

i1•r2 = i2•r1

r2 = i2•r1 / i2

r2 = 20×3.4/12

r2 = 5.67cm

The radius of the bigger loop is 5.67cm.

What causes a satellite to move tangentially to a circular path?
yawa3891 [41]

Explanation : We know that two forces acting on the satellite.

The speed of the satellite and the force of the gravity on the satellite then the result , the satellite moves around the earth in a circular motion.

A satellite to move tangentially to a circular path, while revolving around the circular path because the centripetal force is acting on it.

So, we can say gravity is responsible for the motion of the satellite in a circular path.

Unpolarized light with an intensity of 22.4 ????ux passes through a polarizer whose transmission axis is vertically oriented. (a
irina1246 [14]

Answer:

a)      I₁ = 11.2 Lux , vertical direction , b)      I₂ = 1.44 Lux

Explanation:

a) A polarized is a system that absorbs light that is not polarized in the direction of its axis, therefore half of the non-polarized light must be absorbed

consequently the above the processed light has half of the incident intensity and the directional of the polarized

          I₁ = I₀ / 2

          I₁ = 22.4 / 2

          I₁ = 11.2 Lux

is polarized in the vertical direction

b) The polarized light falls on a second polarizer, therefore it must comply with the law of Malus

         I₂ = I₁ cos² θ

         I₂ = 11.2 cos² 69

         I₂ = 1.44 Lux

When the heat source is removed from a fluid, convection currents in the fluid will eventually ____________then stop.
Blizzard [7]

When the heat source is removed from a fluid, convection currents in the fluid will eventually distribute heat uniformly throughout the fluid.  When all of the fluid is at the same temperature, convection currents will stop.
