Answer:

That tiny shock you feel is a result of the quick movement of these electrons. You can think of a shock as a river of millions of electrons flying through the air. ... Static electricity happens more often during the colder seasons because the air is drier, and it's easier to build up electrons on the skin's surface.

iris [78.8K]

The number of complete cycles the rotating mirror goes through before the angular velocity gets to zero is approximately 1166.8 revs

What is angular velocity?

Angular velocity is the ratio of the angle turned to the time taken.

The kinematic equation for angular velocity are presented as follows;

ω = ω₀ + α·t

θ = θ₀ + ω₀·t + 0.5·α·t²

Where;

θ₀ = The initial angle turned = 0

ω₀ = The initial angular velocity of the mirrors = 115 rad/s clockwise

α = The angular acceleration = (115 - (-115))rad/s/(85 s) = -46/17 m/s²

t = The duration of the motion;

When the angular velocity, ω is zero, we get;

0 = 115 - 46/17·t

t = 85/2

Which indicates;

θ = 0 + 115× (85/2) + 0.5×(46/17) ×(85/2)² = 7331.25

θ = 7331.25 radians

θ = 7331.25/(2×π) ≈ 1166.8 rev

The mirrors would have turned through approximately 1166.8 revolutions when the angular gets to zero

How can seismographs be used to predict hurricane intensity?
nikdorinn [45]

Answer: The earth is a noisy place. Seismometers, which measure ground movements to detect earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and manmade explosives, are constantly recording smaller vibrations caused by ocean waves, rushing rivers, and industrial activity.

What two factors determine how bright a star appears to be in the sky?
Delicious77 [7]

Answer:

1. Luminosity

2.Apparent brightness

Explanation:

There are two factors on which brightness of star appear to be in the sky

The two factors are

1. Luminosity

2.Apparent brightness

1.Luminosity :It is defined as the total energy emitted by the object in a given time.Luminosity vary with the distance of observer from the star.Luminosity is a intrinsic property which depends on the fundamental chemical composition and structure of the material.Luminosity is depends on the size of star.Lager the star luminosity will be more.

2.Apparent brightness: It is defined as how bright a star appears from an observer on the earth and the amount of starlight reaching the earth.if the distance is large then the brightness decreases.When the distance of star from us small then the brightness of star increases.Distance is inversely proportional to brightness of the star.
