Convert to moles:<br> 100.0g Ca3(PO4)2
salantis [7]

Answer:

0.322 moles

Explanation:

Given Mass, m = 100 g

The molar mass of Ca₃(PO₄)₂

Ca₃(PO₄)₂ = (3 x 40.08) + (2 x 30.97) + (8 x 16.00)

M = 310.18 g/mol

Let there are n number of moles,

n = given mass/ molar mass

n=\dfrac{100 }{310.18 }\\\\n=0.322\ mol

So, there are 0.322 moles.

Single replacement reactions: a piece of zinc is added to cadmium chlorate solution
slamgirl [31]

Explanation:

This is feasible single displacement chemical reaction. In this reaction, Zinc displaces cadmium from the chlorate solution:

       Zn + Cd(ClO₃)₂ →  Zn(ClO₃)₂ + Cd

A single displacement reaction is a reaction in which one specie replaces another.

The main driving force in this kind of reaction is the position of the displacing species in the activity series.

In the series, metals that are higher up are more reactive and they will displace the lower ones from solution.

Cadmium is lower in the series and Zn is higher up.

Zn is more reactive than Cd and will displace it form the solution and it gives the expression:

   Zn + Cd(ClO₃)₂ →  Zn(ClO₃)₂ + Cd

How many moles in 68.1 grams of Cu(OH)2
Andrew [12]

To do this, you would first add together the molar mass of all involved elements, to find how many grams are in a mole of Cu(OH)2. Keep in mind, the molar mass is equal to the atomic mass of an element in grams. For example the molar mass of copper (Cu) would be 63.55 (with 2 sig. figs.)

Therefore, now we add together the mass of all elements involved.

Cu: (63.55)+O2(15.99x2=31.98)+H2(1.01x2=2.02)

63.55+31.98+2.02= 97.55g per mole of Cu(OH)2.

Now, divide what we have by how much it takes to get a mole of the stuff.

68.1/97.55= 0.698mol Cu(OH)2
