a merry go round has a radius of 8 meters makes 2 revolutions every 2.5 minutes. A. express the angular speed of the merry go ar
pantera1 [17]

Answer:

a).v=83.77x10^{-3} rad/s

b).v=0.8rpm

c).v=0.5865 m/sec.

Explanation:

Given:

r=8m

v=\frac{2rev}{2.5minutes}

a).

2 rev*\frac{2\pirad}{1rev}=4\pi  rad

t=2.5minutes*\frac{60s}{1minute}=150s

The angular speed in radians per seconds is

v=\frac{4\pi}{150s}=83.77x10^{-3} rad/s

b).

v=\frac{2rev}{2.5minute}rpm

v=0.8rpm

c)

Child's distance per revolution

(pi*2r) = 43.988 metres.

v=(43.988 x 0.0133333) = 0.5865 m/sec.

What is the thinnest soap film (excluding the case of zero thickness) that appears black when illuminated with light with a wave
Firlakuza [10]

Answer:

thinnest soap film is  206.76 nm

Explanation:

Given data

wavelength = 550 nm

index of refraction n  = 1.33

to find out

What is the thinnest soap film

solution

we have wavelength  λ = 550 nm

that is  λ = 550 × 10^{-9} m

and n = 1.3

we will find the thickness of soap film as given by formula that is

thickness = λ/2n

thickness = 550 × 10^{-9}  / 2(1.33)

thickness = 206.76 × 10^{-9}  m

thinnest soap film is  206.76 nm

Why do chillies burn even through they’re cold?
tigry1 [53]

When chilies burn in our mouths, the surrounding temperature does not affect how hot the taste of the chilli is. It is only the spiciness that we taste in our mouths. This spiciness is caused by the chemical called capsaicin. This chemical is contained in the cells of the chilli. Capsaicin irritates the cells in your mouth so that is why you feel the discomfort in your mouth.

Hope it helps :)
