A member of the software team recently got into LED art. They bought a couple of cheap LEDs and resistors and and wired them up.

They expect all four to be the same brightness, but they're not. Why is that

It should be noted that the reason for the difference in brightness is that the resistance is lower on the right than on the left.

<h3>Solving the resistance. </h3>

From the complete information, the resistance that's given in the first two LED circuits is R. Also, the resistance that is given in the two LED circuits onto the right is R/2.

From Ohm's law, I = V/R. This implies that I is indirectly proportional to R. Therefore when the resistance is decreased, there will be an increase in current flow.

Therefore, the glow of the two LEDs on the right is more than those on the left because the resistance is lower on the right than on the left.

Find the work w1 done on the block by the force of magnitude f1 = 75.0 n as the block moves from xi = -1.00 cm to xf = 3.00 cm .
MissTica
<span>The work done is 3.0 Nm. We can us the equation Work = Force * Distance, where Force = 75.0 N, and distance is xf – xi = 3.00 cm - -1.00 cm = 4.00 cm. Convert centimeters to meters by moving the decimal place to the left by two places to get 0.04 m. Plug these values into the Work equation: Work = Force * Distance Work = 75.0 N * 0.04 m Work = 3.0 Nm</span>

A concrete piling of 50 kg is suspended from a steel wire of diameter 1.0 mm and length 11.2 m. How much will the wire stretch?
pentagon [3]

Explanation:

It is given that,

Mass of concrete pilling, m = 50 kg

Diameter of wire, d = 1 mm

Radius of wire, r = 0.0005 m

Length of wire, L = 11.2

Young modulus of steel, Y=20\times 10^{10}\ N/m^2

The young modulus of a wire is given by :

Y=\dfrac{\dfrac{F}{A}}{\dfrac{\Delta L}{L}}

Y=\dfrac{F.L}{A\Delta L}

\Delta L=\dfrac{F.L}{A.Y}

\Delta L=\dfrac{50\ kg\times 9.8\ m/s^2\times 11.2\ m}{\pi (0.0005\ m)^2\times 20\times 10^{10}\ N/m^2}

\Delta L=0.034\ m

So, the wire will stretch 0.034 meters. Hence, this is the required solution.

Which statement BEST explains why the specific heat of water is higher than the specific heat of most other substances?
solniwko [45]
Due to its polarity and hydrogen bonding water can absorb heat without a significant temperature change.. The high specific heat of water helps regulate the rate at which air changes temperature, which is why the temperature change between seasons is gradual instead of sudden, especially near the oceans.
