Hello there!

<span>A vegetable garden is 12 meters long by 7 meters wide. It is home 168 mice. What is the population of the mice.
</span>
The size of the vegetable garden is just extra information.

The only information we need is: "<span>It is home 168 mice"

This means the population of mice is 168. Meaning, there are 168 mice living there.

I hope I helped!

Let me know if you need anything else!

Two isotopes of hypothetical element X exist with abundances of 30.00% 100X and 70.00% 101X. What is the approximate atomic mass
Rasek [7]

Answer:

C. 100.7 amu

Explanation:

Isotopes of an element are atoms of an element with the same atomic number but different atomic masses. Each atomic mass of an isotope is known as an isotopic mass. An element that exhibits isotope, that is, that have two or more isotopes has a relative atomic mass that is not a whole number.

Relative atomic mass of X is the sum of the products of the relative abundances of each isotope and its isotopic mass.

For Isotope ¹⁰⁰X: 30% × 100 = 30 amu

For Isotope ¹⁰¹X: 70% × 101 = 70.7 amu

Relative atomic mass of X = (30 + 70.7) amu = 100.7 amu

Therefore, the approximate atomic mass of X is 100.7 amu

Louisa put a bowl of water and a bowl of sand in the sun. She put a thermometer in each bowl. Then she recorded the temperature
Helen [10]

The experiment that was carried out by Louisa goes to show us that different materials heat up at different rates.

<h3>What is the specific heat capacity?</h3>

The term specific heat capacity just goes to show us the amount of heat that must be absorbed before the temperature of an object would rise by 1 K. In this case, we can see that we have been told that the after 30 minutes, the sand had heated more than the water. This simply implies that the energy that the sand and the water absorbed was able to increase the temperature of the sand mush more than it increased the temperature of the water.

Thus we can see that the heat capacity of the sand is much less than the heat capacity of the water since the sand could be able to be heated up much faster than the the water could be heated up.

Paramecia are examples of unicellular organisms. They are protists.

<h3>Protists</h3>

Protists are eukaryotic unicellular (single-celled) organisms that do not fit into any other category.

Paramecia are protists microorganisms generally found in aquatic habitats (e.g., a pond).

Paramecia generally have an oblong shape and they are covered with tiny structures known as cilia (for motion).
