Complete Question

The complete question is shown on the first and second uploaded image

Answer:

The expression is  W_c =  P_o V_o ln (R_v)

Explanation:

Generally smallest workdone done by  a gas is mathematically represented as

          dW  =  PdV

Generally for an isothermal process

    PV  =  nRT = constant

=>   P = \frac{nRT}{V}

Generally the total workdone is mathematically represented as

   W_c =  \int\limits^{v_f}_{V_o} {\frac{nRT}{V} } \, dV

=> W_c = nRT  \int\limits^{V_f}_{V_o} {\frac{1}{V} } \, dV

=>  nRT [lnV]   | \left \ {V_f}} \atop {V_o}} \right.

=>  W_c = nRT [ln(V_f) - ln(V_o)]

=>  W_c = nRT ln \frac{V_f}{V_o}

From the question \frac{V_f}{V_o }  =  R_v

=> W_c =  P Vln (R_v)

at initial  state

W_c =  P_o V_o ln (R_v)

A boy on board a cruise ship drops a 30. 0 gm marble into the ocean. If the resistive force proportionality constant is 0. 500 k
mixer [17]

The terminal speed of the marble is 0.588 m/s.

Given:

We know that,

F = mg                          ......(1)

where,

F = force

m = mass

g = acceleration due to gravity

Also,

v = F/k                            ......(2)

where,

v = terminal speed

k = proportionality constant

Substituting the value of F from equation (1) in equation (2)

v = mg/k                             .......(3)

Given,

m = 30 g = 0.030 kg

k = 0.500 kg/s

g = 9.8 m/s²

To find,

v =?

Put the values in equation (3)

v = mg/k

v = 0.03(9.8)/ 0.500

= 0.294/0.500

= 0.588 m/s

A pneumatic system consists of several identical 1.5 inch diameter cylinders to lift 450-pound pallets in a warehouse. the gauge
DerKrebs [107]
The applicable equation:

P = F/A

P = pressure
F = Force or weight
A = surface area

Pressure on each cylinder = (W/n)/A
Where n = number of cylinders. Additionally, pressure in the reservoir is equivalent to the pressure in each cylinder.
Net pressure =  75 - 14.7 = 60.3 psi

Therefore,
60.3 = (W/n)/A = (450/n)/(πD^2/4) = (450/n)/(π*1.5^2/4) = (450/n)/(1.7671)
60.3*1.7671 = 450/n
106.03 = 450/n
n = 450/106.3 = 4.244 ≈ 5

The number of cylinders is 5.

Answer:

Explanation:

Of course because it's Newton's Law that if body A exerts force on body B, then body B will exert equal but opposite force on body A.
