A chemical equation does not give information about what
Lana71 [14]

A chemical equation does not give information about the following:

  • It usually does not give the "state of the substances". There are three states: Solid(s), liquid(q) and gas(vap).
  • The chemical equation does not show whether it is complete or incomplete.
  • The "speed of the reaction" is not mentioned.
  • The "concentration of the substance" whether it is diluted or concentrated is not mentioned.
  • The "rate of the reaction", temperature, catalyst, pressure etc is not mentioned. These can be mentioned "above or below the arrow".

Calcium oxide (cao) can react with carbon dioxide (co2) in a synthesis reaction. Select the most likely products of this reactio
Triss [41]

Answer: Option (b) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

A synthesis reaction is the reaction in which two compounds or atoms combine together to result in the formation of a single compound.

For example, CaO + CO_{2} \rightarrow CaCO_{3}

Thus, here CaO and CO_{2} combine together to result in the formation of calcium carbonate compound. Therefore, it is a synthesis reaction.

Therefore, we can conclude that the most likely products of Cao + co2 → CaCO3 reaction.

How many particles are there in 5.0 moles
grigory [225]

Answer:

3.01 × 10^24 particles

Explanation:

According to Avagadro, in one mole of a substance, there are 6.02 × 10^23 atoms or particles.

Using the formula: N = n × NA

Where;

N= number of particles or atoms

n = number of moles

NA = Avagadro's constant or number

This means that for 5 moles of a substance, there will be:

5 × 6.02 × 10^23

= 30.1 × 10^23

= 3.01 × 10^24 particles
