The induced electric field inside the cylindrical region is directly proportional to r

What is the electric field?

An electric field is the physical field that surrounds electrically charged particles and exerts a force on all other charged particles in the field.

  • When a loop of wire is placed in a time-varying magnetic field, an induced electric field arises.
  • This induced electric field allows the flow of current in the loop. There is no potential associated with this induced electric field.

Here. a magnetic field with magnitude linearly varies with time.

Radial distance  = r

Area of this region, A = π*r^2

Let the induced electric field be E.

Magnetic flux:

∅(B) = B*A

Let the magnetic field be kt,

where k is some constant and t is time.

(B) = kt * (πr^2)

Using Maxwell's equation of electromagnetism,

\int\limits^a_b {E} \, dr = -\frac{d∅}{dt}

E* 2\pi r = - \frac{d}{dr}(\pi k tr^{2} )

E*2\pi r = -\pi kr^{2}

E = - \frac{kr}{2}

Hence

E ∝ r

The induced electric field is directly proportional to r

So, option 2 is correct.

I don’t know how to answer this question? Can anyone help?
VMariaS [17]

Answer:

F=ma

here F is force, m is mass and a is accelaration,

According to the question,

F=3*F= 3F

m= 1/3 of m= m/3

a= ?

so the equation becomes,

3F= m/3*a

3F*3= ma

9F=ma

F= ma/9

Therefore accelaration reduces by 1/9.

I am not very sure.

Which of the following situations could cause light to diffract?
adelina 88 [10]

Answer:

B. Light passes through a small opening

Explanation:

Diffraction is one of the properties of wave defined as the bending of wave around corners. It occurs mostly when waves passes through a tiny opening or slit. The type of waveform generated by the wave depends on the type of opening or slit that the medium passes through. The opening can be tiny or large.

Based on the definition, it can be inferred that the situation that causes light waves to diffract is when the light passes through a small opening. For example, the light of a torch passing through a tiny door hole is diffraction.

What is the length of the x-component of the vector shown below?
ollegr [7]

Answer:

Option B. 8.1

Explanation:

From the question given above, the following data were obtained:

Angle θ = 71°

Hypothenus = 25

Adjacent = x

Thus, we can obtain the x component of the vector by using the cosine ratio as illustrated below:

Cos θ = Adjacent /Hypothenus

Cos 71 = x/25

Cross multiply

x = 25 × Cos 71

x = 25 × 0.3256

x = 8.1

Therefore, the x component of the vector is 8.1

If displacement is negative,is velocity negative too?
evablogger [386]

Answer:

An object which moves in the negative direction has a negative velocity. If the object is speeding up then its acceleration vector is directed in the same direction as its motion (in this case, a negative acceleration).
