When atoms combine to form covalent bonds, the resulting collection of atoms or group of atoms is called a molecule.

<h3>How does atom combine?</h3>

Atoms can combine with each other through sharing of the electrons, donating the electrons etc. to make molecules.

When atoms combine by forming covalent bonds, the resulting collection of atoms is called a molecule. We can therefore say that a molecule is the simplest unit of a covalent compound.

Thus, when atoms combine to form covalent bonds, the resulting collection of atoms or group of atoms is called a molecule.

A ray of light traveling in air strikes the surface of a liquid. if the angle of incidence is 29.7◦ and the angle of refraction
lana66690 [7]
When light moves from a medium with higher refractive index to a medium with lower refractive index, the critical angle is the angle above which there is no refracted ray, and it is given by:
\theta_c = \arcsin ( \frac{n_r}{n_i} ) (2)
where n_r is the refractive index of the second medium and n_i is the refractive index of the first medium.

We can find the ratio n_r / n_i by using Snell's law:
n_i \sin \theta_i = n_r \sin \theta_r (1)
where
\theta_i is the angle of incidence
\theta_r is the angle of refraction

By using the data of the problem and re-arranging (1), we find
\frac{n_r}{n_i} =  \frac{\sin \theta_i}{\sin \theta_r} = \frac{\sin 16.3^{\circ}}{\sin 29.7^{\circ}} =0.566

and if we use eq.(2) we can now find the value of the critical angle:
\theta_c = \arcsin ( \frac{n_r}{n_i} ) = \arcsin (0.566) = 34.5^{\circ}

What is the average speed of a train that travels at 100km/hr for 6 hours and then 120km/hr for 5 hours
Sindrei [870]

Answer:

Explanation:

Average speed = Total distance / Total time.

100 km/hr

r = 100 km / hr

t = 6 hours

d = 6 * 100 = 600 km

120 km / hr

r = 120 km / hr

t = 5 hour

d = 120 * 5

d = 600 km

Total distance = 600 + 600 = 1200 km

Total time = 5 hour + 6 hours = 11 hours.

Average speed = 1200 km / 11 hours = 109.1

ololo11 [35]

Answer:

i'm not sure if you are asking as a  personal question or a book question so i'm taking it personal.

Explanation:

I was doing a simple task that was handed to me to test my responsibility and I agreed (knowing i am responsible :3). my first thought was "man , this is easy!" but then i started seeing the other kids slaking off and quiting their tasks. I thought that was against the rules, but then i saw my bff doing it too and i thought "this should be ok then!" so i did the same. other kids where still doing it. the teacher came, saw the ones still working and smiled... but when the teacher looked at the ones slaking off omg... his face was like * im gonna kill yall* we took one big gulp and whined. the teacher awarded the ones who completed the task... the others , we had to do our original task but doubled... for 3 weeks!!! it was awful!!!

I WOULD NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!!

Determine the density of a rectangular piece of concrete that measures 3.7 cm by 2.1 cm by 5.8 cm and has a mass of 43.8 grams.
Novay_Z [31]
It is customary to work in SI units.

Calculate the volume of the concrete.
V = 3.7*2.1*5.8 cm³ = 45.066 cm³ = 45.066 x 10 ⁻⁶ m³

The mass is  43.8 g = 43.8 x 10⁻³ kg

The density is mass/volume.
Density = (43.8 x 10⁻³ kg)/(45.066 x 10⁻⁶ m³) = 971.9 kg/m³

Answer: 971.9 kg/m³
