Answer:

(a) 24.87 GHz (b) 3.55 GHz

Explanation:

We have given the speed of the spaceship =0.75 c, here c is the speed of the light

(a) In the first case the ship is moving towards the alpha century

So the frequency is given by  f'=f\times \sqrt{\frac{c+0.75c}{c-0.75c}}=9.4\times \sqrt{\frac{c+0.75c}{c-0.75c}}=24.87GHz

(b) In this case the ship is moving away from the alpha century

So frequency is given by f'=f\times \sqrt{\frac{c-0.75c}{c+0.75c}}=9.4\times \sqrt{\frac{c-0.75c}{c+0.75c}}=3.55GHz

the skid marks left by the decelerating jet-powered car the spirit of america were 9600 m long before it came to a stop at 198 m
N76 [4]

Answer:

97 s

Explanation:

Given:

Δx = 9600 m

v₀ = 198 m/s

v = 0 m/s

Find: t

Δx = ½ (v + v₀) t

9600 m = ½ (0 m/s + 198 m/s) t

t = 97 s

Static electric fields are caused by charged particles. What characterizes a positively charged particle?
sergeinik [125]

Static electric fields are caused by charged particles when the atoms which compose the particle will have the same number of electrons as protons.

Each point in space has an electric field associated with it when the charge of any kind is present. The value of E, often known as the electric field strength, electric field intensity, or just the electric field, expresses the strength and direction of the electric field.

Both the electromagnetic wave produced by a radio broadcast monopole antenna and the field created in the dielectric of a parallel-plate capacitor are examples of electric fields (which create a time-varying field). Every place in space where a charge, regardless of its shape, is present is said to have an electric field, which is an electric attribute. The electric field's equation is given as E = F / Q.

Describe in detail how a photon of light is created.
pentagon [3]
Fusion occurs in the sun's innermost core, when two atoms merge, releasing energy and light in the process. Photons of light are first created in the sun's center. Over tens of thousands of years, the photons travel a "drunken walk," zigzagging their way from atom to atom until they reach the surface.

A 75 kg soccer player jumps vertically upwards and heads the 0.45 kg ball as it is descending vertically with a speed of 24 m/s.
Vikentia [17]

Answer:

31.66 m/s

Explanation:

mass of player, M = 75 kg

mass of ball, m = 0.45 kg

initial velocity of player, U = + 4 m/s

initial velocity of ball, u = - 24 m/s

Let the final speed of player is V and the ball is v.

use conservation of momentum

Momentum before collision = momentum after collision

75 x 4 - 0.45 x 24 = 75 x V + 0.45 x v

289.2 = 75 V + 0.45 v    .... (1)

As the collision is perfectly elastic, coefficient of restitution,e = 1

So, e=\frac{v_{1}-v_{2}}{u_{2}-u_{1}}

V - v = u - U

V - v = -24 - 4 = - 28

V = v - 28, put this value in equation (1), we get

289.2 = 75 (v - 28) + 045 v

289.2 = 75 v - 2100 + 0.45 v

2389.2 = 75.45 v

v = 31.66 m/s

Thus, the velocity of ball after collision is 31.66 m/.
