So the atomic number of an element tells the number of proton in the element.
The atomic mass is the sum of the number of protons and neutrons.

From this we can draw up and equation:
Atomic Mass = (# of protons) + (# of neutrons)

⇒ # of neutrons = Atomic Mass - Atomic Number
                               = 14 - 7
                               = 7

Therefore nitrogen has SEVEN neutrons.

How can you differentiate the Atomic Structure and the Bohr Model? In other words, how is the Atomic Structure different from th
Tatiana [17]

Answer:

Bohr thought that electrons orbited the nucleus in circular paths; whereas in the modern view atomic electron structure is more like 3D standing waves. Bohr built upon Rutherford's model of the atom. ... He believed that electrons moved around the nucleus in circular orbits with quantised potential and kinetic energies.

calculate pressure exerted by 1.255 mol of CI2 in a volume of 5.005 L at a temperature 273.5 k using ideal gas equation
balu736 [363]

Answer:

The pressure is 5.62 atm.

Explanation:

An ideal gas is a theoretical gas that is considered to be composed of randomly moving point particles that do not interact with each other. Gases in general are ideal when they are at high temperatures and low pressures.

An ideal gas is characterized by three state variables: absolute pressure (P), volume (V), and absolute temperature (T). The relationship between them constitutes the ideal gas law, an equation that relates the three variables if the amount of substance, number of moles n, remains constant and where R is the molar constant of the gases:

P * V = n * R * T

In this case:

  • P= ?
  • V= 5.005 L
  • n= 1.255 mol
  • R= 0.082 \frac{atm*L}{mol*K}
  • T= 273.5 K

Replacing:

P* 5.005 L= 1.255 mol* 0.082 \frac{atm*L}{mol*K} *273.5 K

Solving:

P=\frac{1.255 mol* 0.082 \frac{atm*L}{mol*K} *273.5 K}{5.005 L}

P= 5.62 atm

The pressure is 5.62 atm.

The water cycle iss a process which helps to circulate and replenish water on earth.

What is hydrology?

Hydrology is the scientific study of water bodies , the changes that occur in them as well as the various features and behavior of water bodies such as oceans and rivers.

Water circulation created by prevailing wind systems. The Gulf Stream is an example up of the Coriolis effect.

The length of open sea over which wind can blow steadily to create waves is called fetch.

Salinity is the amount of dissolved salt in a liquid

The distance from the crest of one wave to the crest of another is called wavelength

Water circulation created by differences in density deepwater currents

Energy is what moves forward and through a wave.

The cyclical process of the changing state and movement of water around the Earth through evaporation, condensation, and precipitation is called water cycle.

As the amount of salt in water increases, the density of the water increases.

The type of energy possessed by moving water is called kinetic energy.

The rising of ocean water bringing nutrients up from the deep us called upwelling.

Therefore, the water cycle helps to circulate and replenish water on earth.

In 1995, 78 women were enrolled in chemistry at a certain high school while 162 men were enrolled. What was the percentage of wo
dem82 [27]

Answer:

32.5% female

67.5% male

Explanation:

To find a percentage, you need your total.

To find your total, add the amount of men and the amount of women.

162+78=240

240 total people were enrolled in chemistry at that high school.

Next, to solve for your percentage of female participants, divide the amount of women by your total.

\frac{78}{240} =32.5

32.5% were women. Do the same with your male participants for your male percentage.

\frac{162}{240} =67.5

67.5% were men.
