Which instrument produces the sound of a single frequency?
notka56 [123]
NO musical instrument produces a 'pure' tone with only a
single frequency in it.

EVERY instrument produces more or less harmonics (multiples)
in addition to the basic frequency it's playing.

The percussion instruments (drums etc) are the richest producers
of bunches of different frequencies.

Fuzzy electric guitars are next richest.

The strings and brass instruments are moderate producers of
harmonics ... I can't remember which is greater than the other.

Then come the woodwinds ... clarinet, oboe, etc.

The closest to 'pure' tones of single frequency are the sounds
made by the flute and piccolo, but even these are far from 'pure'.

The only way to get a true single-frequency sound is from an
electronic 'sine wave' generator.

Un móvil se desplaza con movimiento uniforme con una rapidez de 36 Km/h ¿Cuál es la distancia recorrida al cabo de 0,5 horas?
Diano4ka-milaya [45]

Answer:

Distancia = 17,5 kilómetros.

Explanation:

Dados los siguientes datos;

Velocidad = 36 km/h

Tiempo = 0.5 horas

Para encontrar la distancia recorrida;

Distancia = velocidad * tiempo

Distancia = 35 * 0.5

Distancia = 17,5 kilómetros.

Por tanto, la distancia recorrida por el automóvil es de 17,5 kilómetros.

A sailboat is heading directly north at a speed of 20 knots (1 knot 50.514 m/s). the wind is blowing toward the east with a spee
stellarik [79]
(a) The magnitude of the wind as it is measured on the boat will be the result of the two vectors. Since they are at 90°, the resultant can be determined by the Pythagorean theorem.

                   R = sqrt ((20 knots)² + (17 knots)²)
                    R = sqrt (400 + 289)
                      R = 26.24 knots

The direction of the wind will have to be angle between the boat and the resultant.
                   cos θ = (20 knots)/(26.24 knots)
                        θ = 40.36°

Hence, the direction is 40.36° east of north.

(b) As stated, the wind is blowing in the direction that is to the east. This means that it only has one direction. Parallel to the motion of the boat, the magnitude of the wind velocity will have to be zero.
