Answer:

55.85 grams of Fe is formed.

Explanation:

Identify the reaction:

2Fe₂O₃  +  3C  →  4Fe  +  3CO₂

Identify the limiting reactant, previously determine the mol of each reactant

(mass / molar mass)

10 g / 12 g/m = 0.83 moles C

80 g / 159.7 g /m = 0.500 moles Fe₂O₃

2 moles of oxide need 3 moles of C, to react

0.5 moles of oxide, will need ( 0.5  . 3)/ 2 = 0.751 mol

I have 0.83 moles of C, so C is the excess.

The limiting is the oxide.

3 mol of C need 2 mol of oxide to react

0.83 mol of C, will need (0.83  . 2)/ 3 = 0.553 mol of oxide, and I only have 0.5 (That's why Fe₂O₃ is the limiting)

Ratio is 2:4 (double)

If I have 0.5 moles of oxide, I will produce the double, in the reaction.

1 mol of Fe, will be produce so its mass is 55.85 g

The movement of the liquid in a thermometer shows changes in temperature. An increase in temperature
zhuklara [117]

Answer:

When heated, the molecules of the liquid in the thermometer move faster, causing them to get a little further apart. This results in movement up the thermometer. When cooled, the molecules of the liquid in the thermometer move slower, causing them to get a little closer together.

Method A: Does not transfer heat through solids and requires a medium for heat transfer Method B: Requires a material medium and
Paha777 [63]

Method A is Convection

Method B is Conduction

Explanation:

From the problem, we can infer that method A is convection and method B is conduction.

Conduction, convection and radiation are the three main methods of heat transfer.

  • Conduction and convection requires material medium to propagate.
  • Radiation occurs in the absence of a material medium.
  • Conduction mostly occurs in solid. Here, heat is transferred from one hot end to the cold end of the solid. The vibration of the particles in the hot end causes the transfer of kinetic energy to the cold end until thermal equilibrium is reached.
  • In convection, heat is primarily transferred in fluids as a result of density differences. Convection involves the motion of the materials of the medium. Hot air is light and it rises whereas cold air is dense and it sinks.

In a nucleotide, the nitrogenous base is attached to the sugar's _____ carbon and the phosphate group is attached to the sugar's
Anon25 [30]

Answer:

1' and 5' carbon.

Explanation:

DNA is the genetic material of almost all the living organisms but exceptions are involved in case of some viruses that contains RNA as their genetic material.

The DNA consists of the nitrogenous base, dexoyribose pentose sugar and the phosphate group. The base is attached with the sugar on the 1' position. The phosphate group is linked with the sugar at 5 position of the dexoyribose sugar.

Thus, the correct answer is 1' and 5' carbon.
