Benzene has a 6-carbon ring, with alternating single and double bonds. Consider a benzene molecule in which a hydrogen atom is r

eplaced by an aldehyde functional group.
Draw the produced. Draw the molecule on the canvas by choosing buttons from the Tools (for bonds), Atoms, and Advanced toolbars. The single bond is active by default. Include all hydrogen atoms.

Explanation:

Benzene molecule is a made up of six carbon atoms and six hydrogen atoms.It molecular formula is given by C_6H_6

In aldehyde functional group , (-CHO), in whicgh oxygen s double bonded to carbon and hydrogen is bonded to carbon as well. This functional group is  forms bond via carbon atom with carbon atom of another organic molecule.

So, when aldehyde group replaces the single hydrgen atom of benzene molecule , it becomes C_6H_5CHO that is benzaldehyde.

The structure is given in an image.

Oxygen gas is collected over water. The total pressure (the O2 pressure the water vapor pressure) is 736 torr. The temperature o
tigry1 [53]

Answer:

The value of the partial pressure of the oxygen  P_{O_{2} } =  690 torr

Explanation:

Total pressure of the mixture of gases = 736 torr

The partial pressure of water vapor = 46 torr

From the law of pressure we know that

Total pressure = The partial pressure of water vapor + The partial pressure of oxygen O_{2}

Put the values of pressures in above equation we get,

⇒ 736 = 46 + P_{O_{2} }

⇒ P_{O_{2} } = 736 - 46

⇒ P_{O_{2} } =  690 torr

This is the value of the partial pressure of the oxygen.
