Let us say that Cp is the specific heat of the metal object. Then we do a heat balance (heat lost by metal = heat gained by water):

- 19g * Cp * (22degC – 96degC) = 75g * 4.184J/g degC * (22degC – 18degC)

Cp = 0.893 J/g degC

Answer;

Specific heat of the metal object = 0.893 J/g°C

Explanation and solution;

Quantity of heat = mass × specific heat capacity × change in temperature

ΔQ = Mcθ

Heat lost by the metal object = Heat gained by water

Heat lost by the metal object

= Mass of the metal object × specific heat of the metal ×change in temp

= 19 x specific heat ×( 22 - 96)

= 1406 × specific heat

Heat gained by water

= Mass of water × specific heat capacity of water × change in temperature

= 75 x 4.186 x ( 22 - 18)

= 1255.8 J

Therefore;

= 1406 x specific heat = 1255.8

Specific heat = 0.893 J/g°C

Four pairs of objects have the masses as described below, along with the distances between
lord [1]

Answer:

Mass of 1 Kg and 2 Kg, 1 meters apart.

Explanation:

The gravitational force is defined as

F=G\frac{m_{1} m_{2} }{r^{2} }

By definition, the gravitational force depends directly on the product of the masses and indirectly on the distance between the masses, which means the further they are, the less gravitational force would be. And, the greater the masses, the greater the gravitational force.

Among the options, the pair that would have the greatest gravitational force is Mass of 1 Kg and 2 Kg, with 1 meter between them.

Notice that the last choice includes the same masses but with a greater distance between them, that means it would be a weaker graviational force.

Therefore, the right answer is the second choice.

To demonstrate the tremendous acceleration of a top fuel drag racer, you attempt to run your car into the back of a dragster tha
Daniel [21]

Answer:

Explanation:

If the dragster attains the speed equal to that of the car which is moving with constant velocity of v₀ , before the two close in contact with each othe , there will not be collision .

So the dragster starting from rest , must attain the velocity v₀ in the maximum time given that is tmax .

v = u + a t

v₀ = 0 + a tmax

tmax = v₀ / a

The value of tmax is v₀ / a .

For which question could a testable hypothesis be developed?
Mandarinka [93]
I believe it’s B; Theories may be proven to be true and become laws.
A would make sense if we were talking about hypotheses however, we’re not.
