Answer:

The answer to your question is below

Explanation:

Data

Aqueous acetic acid

Aqueous barium hydroxide

Formula

Acetic acid    CH₃CH₂COOH

Barium hydroxide   Ba(OH)₂

Neutralization reaction

        CH₃CH₂COOH    +    Ba(OH)₂      ⇒  Ba( CH₃CH₂COO)₂ + H₂O

                                                                    Barium acetate + H₂O

Barium acetate =  Ba( CH₃CH₂COO)₂ = Ba(C₃H₅O₂)₂

The molar mass of a solid carboxylic acid is determined by titrating a known mass of the acid with a standardized solution of Na
laiz [17]

The answer is: II.The endpoint is recorded when the solution is dark red in color rather than light pink.

The endpoint is the point at which the indicator changes colour in a colourimetric titration and that is point when titration must stop.

Phenolphthalein is colorless in acidic solutions and pink in basic solutions. If  this indicator change color to dark red, more base is added and endpoint is not accurate.

If the the acid is spilled before titration, that does not make endpoint wrong and molar mass can be calculated.

In this example we can take acetic acid as carboxylic acid; basic salt sodium acetate CH₃COONa is formed from the reaction between weak acid (in this example acetic acid CH₃COOH) and strong base (in this example sodium acetate NaOH).

Balanced chemical reaction of acetic acid and sodium hydroxide:

CH₃COOH(aq) + NaOH(aq) → CH₃COONa(aq) + H₂O(l).

Neutralization is is reaction in which an acid (in this example vinegar or acetic acid CH₃COOH) and a base react quantitatively with each other.

Calculate the enthalpy of the reaction below (∆Hrxn, in kJ) using the bond energies provided. CO(g) + Cl₂(g) → Cl₂CO(g).
nalin [4]

The enthalpy change of the reaction below (ΔHr×n , in kJ) using the bond energies provided. CO(g) + Cl₂(g) → Cl₂CO(g). is - 108kJ.

The bond energies data is given as follows:

BE  for C≡O  = 1072 kJ/mol

BE for Cl-Cl = 242 kJ/mol

BE for C-Cl = 328 kJ/mol

BE for C=O = 766 kJ/mol

The enthalpy change for the reaction is given as :

ΔHr×n = ∑H reactant bond - ∑H product bond

ΔHr×n = ( BE C≡O + BE Cl-Cl) - ( BE C=O + BE 2 × Cl-Cl )

ΔHr×n = ( 1072 + 242 ) - ( 766 + 656 )

ΔHr×n = 1314 - 1422

ΔHr×n = - 108 kJ

Thus, The enthalpy change of the reaction below ( ΔHr×n , in kJ) using the bond energies provided. CO(g) + Cl₂(g) → Cl₂CO(g). is - 108kJ.

Calculate the density of an object with a mass of 6.147 and a volume of 9.3 (include units)
Olin [163]
Here is the formula for density:
Density (D) = Mass (M) divided by Volume (V)

So you would do D = 6.147 divided by 9.3

As an as answer you would get: 0.6609677419g/cm^3

Additional information:

The formula for volume is:
V = M divided by D

The formula for Mass is:
M = D times V

I hope this helps :)

Any atom is most stable when it’s outermost energy level contains
slamgirl [31]

Explanation:

Atoms are at their most stable when their outermost energy level is either empty of electrons or filled with electrons. Sodium atoms have 11 electrons. Two of these are in the lowest energy level, eight are in the second energy level and then one electron is in the third energy level.
