Answer:
             Re  =  Rhenium

Explanation:
                   The electronic configuration of Rhenium is as follow,

                                               [Xe] 6s², 4f¹⁴, 5d⁵

The position of this element in periodic table was found using following trick.

First of all the period in periodic table was identified by identifying the valence shell in electronic configuration. As the valence shell is 6, so the period in which this element is present is also 6.

Secondly, as d orbital is identified as (n-1)d so, (6-1)d = 5d, and the number of electrons in d subshell are 5, so in transition elements the group 5 contain this element.

So, tracking period 6, and group 5 in transition elements confirmed Rhenium as the favorite element of my friend.

Under certain conditions the rate of this reaction is zero order in dinitrogen monoxide with a rate constant of 0.0067·Ms−1: 2N2
choli [55]

Answer:

5.6 seconds

Explanation:

The reaction follows a zero-order in dinitrogen monoxide

Rate = k[N20]^0 = change in concentration/time

[N20]^0 = 1

Time = change in concentration of N2O/k

Initial number of moles of N2O = 300 mmol = 300/1000 = 0.3 mol

Initial concentration = moles/volume = 0.3/4 = 0.075

Number of moles after t seconds = 150 mmol = 150/1000 = 0.15 mol

Concentration after t seconds = 0.15/4 = 0.0375 M

Change in concentration of N2O = 0.075 - 0.0375 = 0.0375 M

k = 0.0067 M/s

Time = 0.0375/0.0067 = 5.6 s

Both cholesterol and oleic acid are lipids. What property do they have in common?
OLga [1]
Cholesterol and oleic acid are non-polar (hydrophobic) compounds, soluble in organic solvents. Most membrane lipids are amphipathic, having a non-polar end and a polar end. Oleic acid and other fatty acids are hydrophobic (not soluble in water).

Calculate the number of moles of solute present in 55.0 mg of an aqueous solution that is 1.45 m NaCl. Assume that for dilute aq
Aloiza [94]

Answer:

0.00007975 mole

Explanation:

Number of moles can be calculated as; mass of solute/volume of solvent or concentration of solution x volume of that solution.

In this case:

Concentration of solution = 1.45 M

Mass of solvent (water in this case) = 55.0 mg

55.0 mg of water is equivalent to 0.55 ml of water.

Therefore, volume of solution = 0.055 ml

Hence, number of moles of solute = molarity x volume

                                                           1.45 x 0.000055 = 0.00007975 mole
