<span>Alchols are slightly polar molecules due to their hydroxyl group. If you increase the length of the carbon chain, you are actually increasing the nonpolar domain of the molecule. the C-H bonds that make up the carbon chain are nonpolar. Therefore, as you add more, you essentially "dilute" the polarity of the hydroxyl group and are left with a more and more nonpolar molecule, which becomes less soluble. </span>

Here, sample 1 has 23.22 g Carbon and 32.00 g Oxygen.

Converting mass into number of moles:

Therefore, formula of compound will be CO.

Sample 2:

It has 36.22 g Carbon and 48.00 g Oxygen.

Converting mass into number of moles:

Molar mass of carbon is 12 g/mol and that of oxygen is 16 g/mol thus,

n_{C}=\frac{m_{C}}{M_{C}}=\frac{36.22 g}{12 g/mol}\approx 3 mol

Similarly, number of moles of oxygen will be:

n_{O}=\frac{m_{O}}{M_{O}}=\frac{48 g}{16 g/mol}=3 mol

The ratio of number of moles of carbon and oxygen will be:

C:O=n_{C}:n_{O}=3:3=1:1

The formula of compound will be CO.

Therefore, it is proved that carbon and oxygen are present in fixed ratios in both the samples.

Stars with greater mass sometimes end with supernovas, a giant explosion, which can result in black holes or neutron stars, or sometimes nothing.

A medium sized star can result in a planetary nebula, which then results in a white dwarf.

\eta=\frac{m}{MM}

Using a periodic table we can find the molar mass of Cu,~~S~~and~~O

MM_{CuSO_4}=153.9~g/mol

Then

m=\eta*MM

now we can replace it

m=0.400*159.6

\boxed{\boxed{m=63.84~g}}

Then we have to dilute 63.84 grams of copper (II) sulfate in 1 L of water to obtain a solution with 0.400M
